Animal Friends' Vision Statement: To ensure the well being of companion animals, while ending overpopulation, abuse and unwarranted euthanasia. Our Mission Statement: Animal Friends, a premier companion animal resource community, is committed to promoting the animal-human bond and nurturing relationships with companion animals which are guided by compassion. It is our mission to: Reduce the number of unwanted animals through aggressive spay/neuter programs. Provide for the well-being of companion animals in need, while adhering to our no-kill tradition and find each a lifelong, loving home. Offer affordable wellness services and resources to pets and owners in need, targeting underserved communities, to support whole-life care. Promote the animal-human bond through outreach, education and therapeutic programming. And, act as an advocate on behalf of animals in crisis and as an enforcer of their rights and protection. We are deeply committed to these goals while ensuring the financial security and stability of the organization for future generations.

The 49ers Foundation harnesses football to educate and empower Bay Area Youth through a collective of innovative and community focused strategies. From award-winning STEAM education and nationally recognized youth football programs, to impactful community partnerships with leading non-profits, we are tirelessly dedicated to inspiring the confidence and collaboration our youth need to tackle what is possible.

We are a compassionate community where skilled physician-researchers, nurses and staff partner with patients and families to help every child live their best life.  

Documentary storytelling expands our understanding of shared human experience, fostering an informed, compassionate and connected world. The International Documentary Association (IDA) is dedicated to building and serving the needs of a thriving documentary culture. Through its programs, IDA provides resources, creates community and defends rights and freedom for documentary artists, activists and journalists

To honor the life and legacy of Kirshnik Khari Ball (known to many as "Takeoff"), The Rocket Foundation has been established to support programs which are saving lives through proven, community-based solutions to prevent gun violence. The first round of funding will be split among four organizations focused on community-led solutions to end gun-related violence: Community Justice Action Fund, H.O.P.E. Hustlers, LIVE FREE, and Offenders Alumni Association.

The mission of the SPCA is to create a caring and kind community that encourages fair and humane treatment of all creatures. Our knowledgeable, caring, and open-minded team of staff and volunteers achieves that mission through proactive efforts to address the current status of animals in our community, education of adults and children, rescue and sheltering of animals in need, and placement of animals into appropriate homes.

The Los Angeles River is the birthplace of our region and was once the thriving, unifying water source for the people and wildlife of Los Angeles. But that connection and our collective history was severed when the River was encased in concrete and fenced in 1938. In an act of civil disobedience, poet activist Lewis MacAdams took the first steps to repair that severed connection in 1986 when he cut a hole in the chain link fence that obstructed Angelenos from their rightful River. He declared the River open to the people and swore to serve as its voice. And so, Friends of the Los Angeles River (FoLAR) and the River Movement were born. FoLAR has endeavored for over 30 years to restore community connection and natural ecology as the single largest unifying force on the River – educating, empowering, and mobilizing over 70,000 Angelenos to repair habitat and fight for the policies that will reclaim our collective right to a healthy, thriving, and equitably accessible Los Angeles River. Our mission is to build capacity for communities, students, and future leaders to advocate for nature, climate, and equity on the Los Angeles River.

Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.While medical technology and treatments have allowed the children we serve to lead longer lives, we continue to strive towards our ultimate mission of fulfilling a wish for every child diagnosed with a critical medical condition in Los Angeles County. Our goal is to be a unique part of the treatment process. While doctors provide the medicine, Make-A-Wish supplies the magical experience that helps our courageous wish children thrive. What makes the wish experience even more extraordinary is that it enriches the lives of all involved, from the children and their families, to the volunteers and sponsors, and often entire communities.

At Nova Ukraine, we are dedicated to supporting Ukraine and its people in building a strong, flourishing nation with an empowered civil society. To foster resilience, hope, and self-sufficiency, we provide essential aid to vulnerable populations, including children, refugees and internally displaced persons, as well as wounded defenders undergoing treatment. Alongside our project teams on the ground, we also partner with and gain expertise of local volunteer groups, hospitals, state services and local authorities. This parallel investment approach provides the people of Ukraine with both a broader and a more efficient use of our donors’ contributions. Our combined resources offer the people of Ukraine cultural growth and social mobility, as well as an environment to thrive in the future. The majority of our volunteer work is unpaid, and our operational overhead has been low, per our financial reports. We regularly provide reports of how donor funds are being spent, what impact we achieve and what experience we gain.
