To honor his legacy, Discovery Inc. established the The Willie Garson Fund at You Gotta Believe to support our work of connecting every child in foster care to a loving family that commits to being there for life. The fund directly supports our Nobody Ages Out initiative, providing the services and resources needed to ensure their profound journey to becoming a family is a success.

Sweet Relief provides assistance to all types of career musicians who are struggling to make ends meet while facing illness, disability, or age-related problems.

Musicians On Call, a nonprofit organization formed in 1999, uses music and entertainment to promote and complement the healing process for patients in the interest of improving their quality of life and creating a better living and healing environment. Additionally, Musicians On Call seeks to raise awareness of the beneficial effects of music and entertainment for people in healthcare facilities.

Covenant House provides a community of hope and healing to homeless young people in need of a safe haven. For kids who have run away from or been forced out of their family home or aged out of foster care, Covenant House provides a temporary home and a continuum of services designed to help them escape the streets forever and transition to a life with stable housing, a solid educational foundation, and sustained employment. . Founded in 1972, Covenant House has reached more than one million young people with immediate assistance and the support necessary to transition from a life on the streets to a life with a future.

DESPICABLE ME, HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, WICKED… Ask any child to name their favorite movie and one of these titles might pop up. There’s nothing like seeing a child’s face light up as the previews end and the movie that he/she has been anticipating for weeks is finally about to begin in the movie theater! But what about the children who are battling life-threatening illnesses who are unable to visit a movie theater? LOLLIPOP makes it possible for hospitalized children around the nation to see the season’s biggest blockbuster movies at the same time as their friends and siblings. Our desire is to create a fun escape from the daily reality of the illnesses and medical treatments these children face. And in the process, LOLLIPOP hopes to deliver a “normal” experience for the entire family. We believe hope and laughter are the key ingredients in having the strength to fight and to cope with hospitalization. Most of these pediatric patients – ranging in age from 2-20 years – are normally deprived of the movie-going experience, as they are unable to leave the hospital for weeks or months on end, if ever. Since LOLLIPOP’s first screening in 2002, we have screened hundreds of films and now reach hospitalized children in over 18 states nationwide. We've even expanded our programming to include other entertainment mediums like TV movies, music & art lessons, magic shows, cooking shows and much more!

An organization committed to transforming the way youth experience homelessness. We envision a world where every child can celebrate major life milestones, regardless of their financial background or living environment. Worthy of Love exists to create positive experiences and life-long memories for homeless youth and their families, by providing all-expenses-paid birthday parties to them as they navigate life's most challenging circumstances. Children and families who attend our parties are provided with meals, snacks, dessert, and a variety of exciting vendors to enjoy throughout the event. Our parties provide a safe environment for attendees and are secured and monitored by trained staff and security. Every child that attends our parties leaves with special gifts designed to inspire confidence and promote self-worth. Along with personalized birthday gifts, attendees receive school supplies, hygiene kits, and essential tools needed to thrive in day-to-day activities. Since 2013, Worthy of Love has thrown unforgettable birthday parties for over 20,000 children and teens experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles County.

The Foundation's goal is to provide the ultimate environment for a child to become their best in all areas of their life, including academic, athletic, interpersonal skills, leadership, as a mentor, and someone willing to be mentored. They hope to arm children with a variety of ways to grow intellectually, spiritually, physically, and in their relationships with themselves and others. Their program is designed to go deeper into the subjects of life, excellence, and how to pursue happiness. In the end, our long-term goal is to help them become professionals in life, to find peace of mind, so they can share this wisdom with their families, friends, and communities as leaders and examples of extraordinary living and happiness.

Advocates for Children and Families, Inc. (ACF) was founded in 1992 to provide ethical adoption services to children and families. Throughout our 30 years of operation there have been many changes in legislation and advances in the evidence-based social sciences related to adoption, that have influenced our model of practice. One aspect of our work that has never changed is ACF's child-centered approach of prioritizing the well-being of children. Our mission is to promote and assist in the formation of stable families. The well-being of children is our priority. We believe every child deserves a permanent home in a safe, nurturing environment.  Our team is comprised of attorneys, licensed mental health professionals, and support staff who are specially trained and continually engaged in advancements within the field of child welfare and adoption. ACF's commitment to advocating for children and families has resulted in over 1,026 children finding stability and permanency within a nurturing family. Poor nutrition can result in a weaker immune system, increased hospitalization, lower IQ, shorter attention spans, and lower academic achievement. 69% of children in America are on free or reduced meals at their schools. Blessings in a Backpack is designed to feed these kids on the weekends by sending them home on Fridays with backpacks filled with staples that require little to no preparation. Starting at just $100, Blessings in a Backpack can feed a child for an entire school year. Since 2009, Blessings in a Backpack has provided 23.5 million hunger-free weekends for more than 838,000 children nationwide.
