We know that food is rooted in culture and tradition so we promote diversity in our lessons and recipes, encouraging our participants to celebrate their culture.

Their mission is to fight hunger by engaging, educating empowering our community. As one of the largest Food Banks in the southeast, distributing more than 50 million pounds of food annually, they provide food primarily to children and youth (about 50%), but food recipients also include low-income families, senior citizens and the homeless. 95% of total budget is used toward programs. The Food Bank also operates several community projects to aid our agencies in community building, technical assistance and advocacy efforts.

Through comprehensive programs and a network of nearly 300 agencies, Feed More helps ensure our communities have access to healthy meals year round. Northwest Harvest is a food justice organization in Washington state. We build partnerships in communities across Washington to get food where it’s needed most. We provide an average of two million meals each month through our statewide network of more than 350 food banks, meal programs, schools, and community-based organizations. Part of a justice-centered movement, we advocate to change inequitable policies, practices, and institutions that perpetuate hunger and poverty. Together, we ensure communities across our state can access the nutritious food they want and need to thrive.
One of Chicago’s largest and longest-operating food pantries, Nourishing Hope, formerly Lakeview Pantry, is a dynamic social services organization providing food, mental wellness counseling and other social services, such as job and housing assistance, to our Chicago neighbors in need. Founded in 1970, we strive to serve the needs of the whole person — with respect and dignity, always.
The mission of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is: No One Goes Hungry in Central & Eastern North Carolina. Established in 1980, the Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for people at risk of hunger in 34 counties for over 35 years. The Food Bank serves a network of more than 800 partner agencies such as soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and programs for children and adults through distribution centers in Durham, Greenville, New Bern, Raleigh, the Sandhills (Southern Pines) and Wilmington. Sadly, food insecurity remains a serious problem in central and eastern North Carolina. In these counties, more than 636,920 people struggle to access nutritious and adequate amounts of food necessary for a healthy life.
