Thank you for your interest in learning on how best to support your local health care. A health care gift allows us to fund new medical equipment and supports many patient care projects. Be assured that the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation will use your gift in the manner it was granted and enhance the area of the Hospital that is closest to your heart. Each and every gift at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation is special and appreciated. That is why we have developed a comprehensive donor recognition or stewardship Programs. There are a number of special trust funds set up to house donor gifts for specific areas and these gifts can be held in trust until a target goal is obtained. We encourage you to contact us to discuss how you prefer to have you gift donated. Remember, sometimes when we are generous in small, barely detectable ways it can change someone else’s life forever...

The Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion (BACI) is a grassroots, non-profit organization that provides innovative services to children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. We currently serve over 1,000 people with disabilities and their families in the Burnaby and Metro Vancouver area by providing various social, training and employment opportunities. In addition to our Infant Development Program (IDP) and integrated family support services, we provide teen programs, adult day programs, outreach programs, skills development and advocacy. The 16 supported housing complexes that we operate in Burnaby enable almost 200 adults with disabilities to live more independent and fulfilling lives. Through our 6 integrated child care centres, we support over 135 children of all abilities to grow and learn together. We hope to increase social awareness and effect change in the way individuals with disabilities are viewed in our society.

Burnaby Meals on Wheels offers three services: The HOME MEAL DELIVERY program provides nutritious, hot and frozen, home-delivered meals to people who, for the reason of age, illness, or disability are unable to prepare meals for themselves. This program benefits clients by providing: • Balanced Chinese, Western and vegetarian meals each containing protein, starch and vegetables. • A friendly visitor and informal security check. • Maintaining independence in their home. • Not having to worry about meal preparation after a hospital stay—meals can be available for short term post-hospital stay. Currently, Burnaby Meals on Wheels is implementing two new services: (1) supporting Progressive Housing's HOMELESSNESS OUTREACH programs with fresh milk, eggs and fruit; and (2) a co-operative local fruits & vegetables purchasing program called the BURNABY HARVEST BOX.
