Midlands Women's Center was founded in February 1998 as a center to assist teens experiencing their first pregnancy. We seek to help those in pregnancy-related situations make plans for life.

To strive for spiritual richness and human excellence through assimilation of values of Hindu scriptures into daily life. Delaware County Pregnancy Center is a Christ-centered, organization that supports women, men and families facing an unplanned pregnancy. Based upon the Truth of scripture, we educate them to make informed decisions concerning their pregnancy and personal relationships.

PEMA CHOLING INSTITUTE is a residential Buddhist community of 100 women and girls aged 12 - 60 located in the Bumthang region of Bhutan. Many of the women arrive at Pema Choling with little or no education, from families of farmers or road laborers. The center offers basic education, vocational training and the opportunity to pursue traditional Buddhist studies at the highest academic level. Founded in 2000, the Institute contains the first shedra (Buddhist college) for women in the history of Bhutan allowing them to receive traditional education on a par with the greatest Buddhist learning centers for men in all of India and the Himalayas.

To provide for the emotional, physical, educational, and social needs of at-risk children, youth, and families, as well as to equip, support, and send leaders to provide similar services throughout the world. To accomplish these goals, LHI receives financial and service support from individuals, churches, businesses, and foundations throughout the United States and other countries.
