Our goal is to work cooperatively with the State of Maine Bureau of Veterans Affairs, along with public, private and religious entities as well as professional organizations to advocate for veterans in matters relating to burial options for our most treasured veterans.
The Beals Hospitality House at Togus Veterans Affairs Medical Center provides NO COST temporary lodging for immediate family members of patients. The facility is similar to the Fisher Houses in that it allows families of veterans to stay when the vet is in the hospital, without charge.
Daisy Mountain Veterans is a close association of members of the American Legion Post 128 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 12031 – representatives of our nation’s largest organizations of veterans. Including the Phoenix North Valley Women Veterans, the combined organization’s’ mission is to honor, support, and thank all who have served and are currently serving in our Military.
The 1LT Robert F. Welch III Charity is a proud participant in the Adopt-a-Highway program. Helping to honor and remember our namesake by working to keep the state he loved clean. They will be posting our Fall Clean up Day dates here soon.
To take WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans to Washington D.C. to see the memorials built in their honor. These trips are at no cost to the veterans.
