Founded in 2007, The Independence Fund empowers our nation's severely wounded, injured, or ill Veterans to overcome physical, mental, and emotional wounds incurred in the line of duty. We improve the lives of both our Veterans and their families through The Independence Fund's Mobility, Caregiver, Adaptive Sports, and Advocacy programs, while also bridging the gap of unmet needs of veterans' caregivers. The Independence Fund works to give veterans the best mobility device options available, and as promote their mental and physical health.

We help veterans lift their families out of poverty by providing them with access to the resources they need to become self-reliant.
The Harrison County Honor Guard conducts military funeral honors at veteran funerals, memorial services, and celebrations of life, as requested by the families.
TO TAKE WOUNDED AND CURRENT SERVING MILITARY PEOPLE OUT FOR A DAY OF FISHING.
Claire's Army acts as God's hands and feet for families fighting childhood cancer by supporting their daily responsibilities, allowing them to put time and focus on their child.
PROVIDE HOUSING, JOB TRAINING AND DRUG COUNSELING/REHABILITATION FOR MILITARY VETERANS.
We provide support to deployed military and their families by sending letters & cards, personal care items, snacks and local favorites to the deployed personnel and logistical, economic support and assistance to veterans and dependent families. Our family pantry currently is assisting 125+ families per week with food, clothing, baby necessities, pet foods, and household goods. This support is available to any PA veteran or active duty military in financial crisis. All assistance is totally anonymous and we do not share any information with other agencies without specific permission.
FLY MILITARY VETERANS TO WASHINGTON DCVeterans Honor Flight of ND/MN is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America's Veterans for all their sacrifices. Top priority is given to the senior Veterans - World War II and Korean War Veterans - along with other Veterans who may be terminally ill. Flights occur in the spring and fall of each year pending fundraising. The western side of North Dakota has recently established an Honor Flight hub.
