NEADS World Class Service Dogs was founded in 1976 to train and place assistance dogs to help people who have disabilities and children who have autism. NEADS has trained over 1,800 Assistance Dog partners (person and dog) now living and working together across the USA, including assistance dogs to help veterans of our wars with physical disabilities and with PTSD. NEADS is the oldest continuing Hearing Dog program in the country and the first program on the East Coast to train a Service Dog.
Warrior Canine Connection is a pioneering organization that utilizes clinically based Canine Connection Therapy to empower returning combat Veterans who have sustained physical and psychological wounds while in service to our country. Based on the concept of Warriors helping Warriors, WCC's therapeutic service dog training program is designed to mitigate symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injuries, while giving recovering Service Members and Veterans a sense of purpose, help in reintegrating back into their families and communities, and a potential career path as a service dog trainer. The program also produces highly skilled Warrior-trained service dogs that will provide years of mobility and social support to Veterans with disabilities.
The mission of Riley’s Army is to provide support to children with cancer and their families in Eastern North Carolina. organizing volunteers to provide individualized support for the family to maintain a healthy home environment; providing educational, financial and logistical support for the children and family as they navigate along the difficult path of childhood cancer treatment; facilitate efforts of existing service organizations, churches and individuals for pediatric cancer patients and their families; raise awareness of pediatric cancer and advocate for patient centered care.
Shield Down's primary exempt purpose is to provide support and education to veterans and dependents of service-members who died in service. We do this by: 1) provide peer-to-peer coaching, guidance, resources, and other support to veterans; 2) provide financial grants and other support to dependents of fallen service-members; and 3) provide community education and engagement.
Honor Flight Columbus is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring America’s veterans with a trip to Washington DC to visit their service and war memorials. These trips are free of charge to any qualified veteran. We strive to help veterans share their stories with future generations, as well as celebrate their service to our country with a proper homecoming that many of them never received.

Honor Flight San Diego (HFSD) is a non-profit branch of the nationwide Honor Flight Network which consists of over 130 independent “hubs” across America. HFSD escorts veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit their memorials using monies donated by individuals, foundations, associations, business owners and corporations who wish to recognize our veterans’ contributions and thank them for their service and sacrifice to the United States and its citizens.

Together, we unite military families facing physical separation by facilitating the bonding experience of reading aloud. United Through Reading provides new, high-quality children's books to military households & offers service members the opportunity to be video-recorded reading books to their children for use when the service member is deployed or can't be physically present for storytime - all of the tools needed for a storytime routine. Program participation supports military family resiliency by boosting family morale, reducing stress, and bolstering the literacy development of military children, who are considered an at-risk population due to the unique demands of military life, including frequent family separations, academic disruptions, & interrupted family routines.
Our Mission is to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day by connecting Americans to the sacrifices of our military, law enforcement, firefighters and rescue personnel. Carry The Load programs provide an interactive way for Americans to remember, honor and celebrate Memorial Day in dedication to those who sacrifice for us daily. Funds raised during Memorial May programs allow Carry The Load to grow its vision and execute its mission,as well as provide existing nonprofit partners with valuable visibility, resources, and meaningful connections.
Clear Path for Veterans New England, Inc.is a New England area Veteran service provider. Clear Path for Veterans New England empowers service members, Veterans, and their families through supportive programs and services in a safe, respectful environment. In order to achieve this goal, we propose to build a center for Veterans to seek the help and resources they need in order to successfully integrate into their communities. In order to accomplish this goal, Clear Path for Veterans New England will require working capital support to finance its proposed project and projected growth.
