To provide support to Veterans and their families through programs, projects, and education
Their mission is to provide round trip transportation from Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield, Illinois for veterans in order of their service (WWII, Korean Era and Vietnam Era) who wish to visit their memorials in Washington, D.C. This one day trip includes air and ground transportation, meals and snacks, t-shirt and cap, and other items provided completely free of charge to the veteran in honor of his/her service to our country.
The organization’s work focuses on supporting combat‑wounded service members by providing free clothing kits and clothing modifications, delivering empowerment events and leadership programs, and connecting wounded warriors (and families of the fallen) with services to help them rebuild purpose and community. In short: CWC aims to help combat‑wounded veterans recover confidence and re‑engage in civilian life through practical assistance (clothing/modifications) and empowerment programs.
To design and build The American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial as a symbol of honor and unity for all disabled veterans from all branches of the service and from all conflicts and generations; and to educate, inform and remind all Americans of the human costs of war, and of the sacrifices that our disabled veterans have made on behalf of American freedoms.
