Connections and You, Inc. (CYI), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, was established in October of 2008 with a desire to help young men become better people in our society. CYI provides a very comprehensive mentoring program called, The Distinguished Gentlemen's Club. We believe that although manners takes an individual a long way, a positive character will take them further. In this program we concentrate on establishing and building positive character into these young men, which would ultimately cause these GENTLEMEN to be DISTINGUISHED, in their schools, in their community, in their families, and in society. Our mission is to connect caring adults with children that would assist in cultivating and building positive character in them through intentional mentoring. Rebuilding Together Houston restores hope and revitalizes neighborhoods by repairing homes at no cost for low-income elderly homeowners. Through the work of volunteers and with the support of public- and private-sector initiatives, we enhance the quality of life for deserving seniors, strengthen the communities in which they live, and build a brighter future for Houston.
