412 FOOD RESCUE WAS FOUNDED TO DIRECTLY IMPACT HUNGER AND SUSTAINABILITY BY SAVING FRESH, HEALTHY FOOD FROM GOING TO WASTE, AND TO DEVELOP AN INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY-BASED REVERSE LOGISTICS MODEL THAT AIMS TO FIGHT HUNGER AND PROMOTE SUSTAINABILITY.

We serve a hot, nutritious meal to the homeless and hungry of the Lynchburg area, 365 days a year. Centrally located in downtown Lynchburg, we serve approximately 300-550 meals per day.Because 800+ pounds of food are donated every day, we now bring excess meals 1-2x per week to various locations that are too far to walk to us. The Meals Outreach Program includes Madison Heights, Appomattox, Altavista, Bedford and low-income/senior apartments in out-lying areas of Lynchburg.In 2021, we served 133,2598 meals - more than ever before in our 39 year history. WFCM is the anchor health and human services nonprofit organization in western Fairfax County, VA that provides food and financial support to households at risk of hunger and homelessness in an nine zip code area, including Centreville, Chantilly, Clifton, Fairfax, Fairfax Station, Oak Hill and Herndon.
