FHFH feeds the hungry by transforming donated deer, elk and livestock into nutritious meat for food banks and feeding ministries. Nutritious red meat is the most-needed item at food banks and feeding ministries nationwide. FHFH pays to have deer and other big-game donated by hunters processed, packaged and frozen by approved, participating meat cutters. The meat, which is high in protein and low in fat, is distributed free of charge to the food banks and feeding ministries that serve the poor nationwide. FHFH exists to serve the Lord Jesus Christ by feeding the hungry. In the Bible, Isaiah the prophet and Jesus himself lift up feeding the hungry as one of the traits of those who have given their hearts to the Lord.

When a local family is going through financial crisis or other obstacles, food is often the first necessity they seek. The Galveston County Food Bank's mission is to provide easy access to nutritional food for the economically disadvantaged, under served populations of Galveston County through a network of participating charitable organizations, schools, and food bank-managed programs focused on serving vulnerable populations. We also provide these individuals and families with resources beyond food, connecting them to other agencies and services that can assist with needs such as child care, job placement, family therapy, healthcare and other resources that can help get them back on their feet and on the path to recovery and/or self-sufficiency.
Every Dollar Feeds Kids' mission is to provide nutritious meals for very poor children, enabling them to learn in hopes that they will be able to help break the cycle of poverty in their families.
