Our mission is to meet the emergency food needs of our community through our weekly food distributions, home delivery to elderly clients, our hot lunch program and our monthly distribution of fresh fruits and vegetables on Produce Day. Through our Common Community Program, we help individuals and families address the root causes of food insecurity and poverty by assisting with benefit applications, job searches, housing issues and services to the homeless. Thanks to the generosity of donors, we have both a client emergency assistance fund and an I Am Your Neighbor Housing Assistance Fund to address clients’ emergency needs.
Kansas City Community Gardens helps low‑income households, community groups, and schools in the Kansas City metro grow their own fruits and vegetables by providing low‑cost seeds and plants, technical assistance, garden plots/raised beds, and free educational workshops — with the goal of improving nutrition, reducing food costs, and strengthening community food access.
The Poverello Center operates an emergency shelter and food programs and provides outreach, case management, medical-respite, and veteran services to people experiencing homelessness or hunger in Missoula. In short, it offers meals, shelter, basic necessities, and supportive services to help people stabilize and move toward housing and health.

Second Harvest Inland Northwest works with local farmers, grocers, volunteers and partner agencies to rescue, store and distribute nutritious food across eastern Washington and north Idaho. They operate mobile markets, partner with neighborhood food banks, and provide nutrition education to reduce food insecurity and strengthen local food systems.
