Background: After a tragic car accident in 2011 that resulted in having an 18 year old young teenager to be a wheelchair user; his mother along with a group of 13 friends decided to make a difference when it comes to physical disability in Egypt and the Middle East after the challenges they faced and still are. Vision: To be the leading example developmental foundation in Egypt, Middle East and Africa that embrace wheelchair/physical disabilities with emphasis on endless possibilities. Mission: Alhassan Foundation is determined to providing "tailored solutions", facilities, re-habilitation and re-occupation for humans on wheelchairs, and their families to overcome their challenges and make best use of their different abilities. 1. To empower the disabled citizens by establishing a "Valley for the Disabled' as a Rehabilitation and development center for the region and to develop models for self-help initiatives by integrating the disabled individuals with the society for improved living conditions in the village.

Our program seeks to serve the regions and population groups of Bulgaria that are economically and socially challenged via a multi-faceted strategy of: 1. Marketplace entry for disadvantaged Bulgarians, meaning: socially disadvantaged citizens of any ethnic background - Roma, Pomak and Bulgarian. 2. Positive, observable business and community citizenship. 3. Sustainability of the current businesses - through our ongoing business consultancy our goal is to help already running and existing businesses pass the 18-months barrier and continue operating in a positive financial balance with potential to expand. Uniqueness of the Cornerstone Program: Business training and consultancy is available in Bulgaria, but it is fee based and thus socially disadvantaged people do not have the financial means to benefit from it. Our program is unique that is offers professional training and consultancy for free to socially disadvantaged people. Most other organizations offer training and consultancy mainly in the big cities. We conduct our trainings in the small towns and villages and we visit the businesses at their facility, thus they do not have to travel. Due to the relatively small loan amounts needed by our clients, they are often vulnerable to predatory lenders for their business loans. Cornerstone provides consultation to help avoid financing with predatory lenders.

Prime Trust's mission is to empower the rural and urban poor, enabling them to become self-reliant. To achieve this, Prime Trust focuses on two areas: Financial support (micro-finance) Education and raising awareness We provide financial support through a linkage microfinance system and education via awareness programs conducted in our SHGs and tutoring at our remedial school. We strive to constantly expand our activities and to improve the service and knowledge we provide, in order to ensure that it is relevant for the women and children with whom we work. Aims & Objectives To provide the women of our Self-Help Groups (SHGs) with microfinance and assist them to successfully utilize the means given to them. To increase the number of SHGs in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. To continuously improve the microfinance system and to make it more easily accessible for the women in the SHGs. To create awareness on women's right issues. To educate children and women in the local communities about HIV/AIDS. To create awareness on children's rights issues such as child labor and the right to education. To offer extra schooling through remedial schools for less fortunate children. To locate sponsors for children to ensure that they receive an adequate education.
