Turquoise Mountain Foundation

Turquoise Mountain was founded in 2006 by HRH The Prince of Wales to revive historic areas and traditional crafts, to provide jobs, skills and a renewed sense of pride. Since 2006, Turquoise Mountain has restored over 150 historic buildings, trained over 6,000 artisans, and treated almost 136,000 patients at our Kabul clinic. Turquoise Mountain has also curated major international exhibitions at museums around the world, from the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha to the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C. Turquoise Mountain has now built over 50 small businesses in Afghanistan, Myanmar, and the Middle East, supporting a new generation of artisan entrepreneurs who will not only drive economic development, but also preserve their unique cultures and traditions.

In 1973 as a result of the need for profound changes in mental health services the Alliance was incorporated in Los Angeles as the Coalition of Spanish Speaking Mental Health Organizations (COSSMHO). Since then the organization has grown and expanded to reflect the changing needs of the people and communities served. Today, the National Alliance for Hispanic Health is the premier science-based and community-driven organization that focuses on the best health for all. Community-based members provide services to more than 15 million Hispanics throughout the U.S. every year and national organization members provide services to more than 100 million people annually.

A federal program funded by services, grants, donations, and contributions, dedicated to advocate, educate, and connect our communities to include veterans, seniors, single women with children, families, and organizations. We provide the blueprints of locating social benefits to those who may be eligible for services: healthcare, financial aid, at home programs, start-up business, military benefits, and social security. We develop opportunities for those seeking assistance by educating themselves within our services model. Every action is aimed to pay it forward and COHH accomplishes this by empowering others through internships, practical knowledge, and hands-on experience. We bring hope to our community in times of need due to an unforeseen hardship.

Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking

The Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CAST) is a Los Angeles–based nonprofit organization that is working to put an end to modern slavery and human trafficking through comprehensive, life-transforming services to survivors and a platform to advocate for groundbreaking policies and legislation. Over the past two decades, CAST has supported thousands of survivors through every phase of their journey to freedom from counseling, to legal resources, to housing, educational and leadership training and mentorship. Through these programs, CAST has helped empower survivors to overcome their traumatic pasts and become leading voices in shaping policy and public awareness to ultimately put an end to the fastest growing criminal enterprise of the 21st century. Our mission is to end modern slavery through education, advocacy and empowering survivors of human trafficking.

Mikeys Place

Mikey's Place is committed to helping families who are raising children with disabilities. Our mission is achieved threefold: We inform families with our biennial publication Mikey's Guide - a comprehensive resource book of disability-related services and programs. Second, we connect families to the services and information they need by hosting an Annual Special Needs Summer Camp & Resource Fair and by maintaining an active Facebook page. Finally, we support families by offering "camperships" to assist with the cost of specialized summer camps or other enriching summer activities.
