To provide those supports necessary to enable people with developmental needs to live as independently and fully as they desire within the community. In support of our mission, we believe: people with developmental needs are unique individuals with the same thoughts, desires, and dreams as anyone else. Each individual possesses gifts and talents that enhance and nurture the richness and diversity of the community. Each person’s capabilities, desires, and dreams will be the foundation for service choices and the individual receiving supports and services always comes first! The development of service options for each person will be enhanced by an environment and attitude which is supportive and nurturing. Planning and decision-making can best occur through the commitment to a strengthening of a dynamic partnership between the individual, family, friends, the community and excentia. This network of relationships is integral to our mission and central to the concept of “excentia”. With a commitment to excellence, we look forward to your involvement and participation as an individual, a family member, or someone looking to make a real difference as a staff member or volunteer. We also appreciate your confidence and support in excentia.
After identifying gaps in the support services available to migrant families and the resulting inequities that befall them, refugee community leaders and town residents founded the Refugee Community Partnership. We are a community-driven organization working to build unique, holistic, and comprehensive support infrastructure for relocated families. All of RCP’s initiatives are born out of grassroots community assessments; from the start, we listen. Through community feedback sessions we regularly evaluate our efficacy, reflect on lessons learned, and make course changes as needed.

Kokomo Rescue Mission provides Bible-based answers to the problems of poverty and homelessness throughout a six-county area of North Central Indiana. Through outreach and shelter programs, the Mission offers individualized programatic help for men and women who want to break out of the cycle of dependency created by poverty and homelessness. The Mission's programs address immediate needs for the basic elements of life such as food and shelter...but always with the hope that the individual will want to address the deeper issues that cause their instability. The goal of the Mission's shelter programs is to come alongside men and women, helping them learn the biblical principles for living a life that is whole, stable and honors the God who created them. Through outreach programs such as the public dining room, providing free meals twice daily, the Mission offers help that may prevent the financial strain that could result in homelessness. During the holidays, the Mission reaches out to families throughout the surrounding five counties, providing food and gifts to those who would not be able to provide a Christmas celebration for their family.

The Southampton Day Care Center – “Fountain of Youth” -was founded in 1985. We are one of the only non-profit day care centers in the Town of Southampton. Throughout the years we continue to make every effort to provide the finest early childhood experience for children in the Southampton community, as well as surrounding neighborhoods. We have successfully created an environment that is safe, nurturing and respectful to the needs of each child. We pride ourselves in focusing on the whole child, and maintaining emotional, social and cognitive development on a daily basis. This is our continuing mission. As such, it is our expressed purpose to provide quality programs for our young students; including language development, math, art, science, music, fine & large motor skills, and writing techniques. Play is seen as one of the most profound means available to children for refining and integrating their knowledge and development of language and social skills, along with primary development of self-esteem and individuality. We look forward to meeting you and working with your children. The Southampton Day Care Center admits children 2-5 years of age. The Center does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, sexual orientation or national origin in the administration of our educational policies, or any other Center operated activity. The National Association for Education of Young Children influences our philosophy. The New York State Office of Child and Family Services license us. We have a current and continual contract with Department of Social Services. Our commitment to the community is evident through the generous grants and donations received from organizations such as: Southampton Town, Southampton Village, as well as private donations. Parent fees only cover approximately 60% of our operating costs.
