A Precious Child assists children and families facing difficult life challenges such as abuse and neglect, crisis situations and poverty. We work with more than 400 agency partners throughout eight Denver Metro counties [Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson and Weld] to identify children and families in the most need of our services. Our core initiatives help build the whole child. In addition to meeting basic human needs through our Resource Center and Boutiques (satellite resource centers), we also help children and their families navigate community resources. This work is done through our COR (Child Outcomes Resource) Center where our Child Outcomes Advocates provide personalized case management to disadvantaged and displaced children and families, connecting them with needed resources, services, opportunities and educational support. Second Harvest Food Bank is leading our community in the fight to end hunger. We provide food, services, and education to address nutritional needs of all people at risk in an 18-county service area, including: Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke, Cumberland, Fentress, Hamblen, Grainger, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, and Union. Food banks are by far the single most important source of food for nonprofit agencies in East Tennessee, accounting for 78% of the food distributed by pantries, 68% of the food distributed by soup kitchens, and 54% of the food distributed by shelters and drug-rehab centers. Many of the agencies who feed the hungry would not be able to keep their doors open were it not for Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee. Second Harvest Food Bank provides the following services to meet the needs of our communities: 1) Distributes over 15 million meals of food annually through six major food-distribution programs. 2) Recovers 8 million pounds of perishable foods that would otherwise be discarded, and redistributes that food to local soup kitchens, food pantries, and senior facilities who directly serve the hungry. 3) Provides supplemental food for over 12,150 elementary school children over the weekends during the school year. 4) Collaborates with Knox County Community Action Committee and the Senior Citizens Home Assistance Service Inc. to meet the nutritional needs of approximately 950 seniors through our Senior Outreach. 5) Administers Federal Food Programs (USDA) for local agencies. 6) Provides education for partners agencies, including ServSafe training.

Voices of Our City amplifies the voices of people impacted by homelessness through music and the arts. Our Choir Members develop renewed hope, personal empowerment, and the life skills to achieve their goals.

HomeFront’s mission is to end homelessness in Central New Jersey by harnessing the caring, resources and expertise of the community. We lessen the immediate pain of homelessness and help families become self-sufficient. We work to give our clients the skills and opportunities to ensure adequate incomes, and we work to increase the availability of adequate, affordable housing. We help homeless families advocate for themselves individually and collectively.

TASK feeds those who are hungry in the Trenton area and offers programs to encourage self-sufficiency and improve the quality of life of its patrons.

To help displaced persons lacking a support network navigate life in the United States primarily through in-home English tutoring and community events.

THE CENTER FOR GRIEVING CHILDREN PROVIDES A SAFE SPACE, LOVING PEER SUPPORT, OUTREACH, AND EDUCATION TO GRIEVING CHILDREN, TEENS, FAMILIES, AND THE COMMUNITY. OFFERING OUR SERVICES AT NO CHARGE, FOR AS LONG AS PEOPLE NEED THEM, OUR SERVICES ENCOURAGE THE SAFE EXPRESSION OF GRIEF AND LOSS AND FOSTER EACH INDIVIDUAL'S RESILIENCE AND EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING. WE NOW OPERATE TWO LOCATIONS IN PORTLAND AND SANFORD.

PROJECTS WITH CARE focuses on building the self-esteem of families in need, helping them participate in social norms and supporting them in ways that are often overshadowed by the urgent need for food and shelter. The dignity and self-respect felt by parents is often negatively impacted when they do not have the means to provide for their children. PROJECTS WITH CARE steps in to help these families build happy memories, participate socially and build confidence.

Hunger comes in many forms. Our Neighbors' Table is committed to establishing a community that provides for the whole person with nourishing food, kindness and dignity.

HomeStart's mission is to end homelessness in Greater Boston by assisting individuals in obtaining housing and settling into the community, and by developing strategies to prevent homelessness before it starts.​ Together as a community of advocates, tenants, landlords, and concerned neighbors, HomeStart helps families and individuals in crisis to regain and maintain a stable home– safe, affordable housing connected to a community of support.
