StreetWise Partners is a non-profit organization with a mission to harness the mentoring resources of the private sector to reduce unemployment within disadvantaged communities of New York City and Washington, D.C. StreetWise Partners pairs business professionals with mentees who are unemployed/underemployed in order to provide them with the skills, resources, and access to networks they need to secure and maintain employment.

One Family aims to prevent homelessness and break the cycle of family poverty in Massachusetts by promoting pathways to economic independence through advocacy, education, and innovation.

IT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE CENTER TO DELIVER THE HIGHEST QUALITY CHILD CARE, YOUTH AND ADULT DEVELOPMENT SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY'S CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. WE OFFER EDUCATIONAL AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS FOR OUR AFTER-SCHOOL AND SUMMER CAMP CHILDREN. OUR THINKING FORWARD LECTURE SERVICES IS OPEN TO THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY.

The mission of the Project HOME community is to empower adults, children, and families to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, to alleviate the underlying causes of poverty, and to enable all of us to attain our fullest potential as individuals and as members of the broader society. We strive to create a safe and respectful environment where we support each other in our struggles for self-esteem, recovery, and the confidence to move toward self-actualization. Project HOME achieves its mission through a continuum of services comprised of street outreach, a range of supportive housing, and comprehensive services. We address the root causes of homelessness through neighborhood-based affordable housing, economic development, and environmental enhancement programs, as well as through providing access to employment opportunities; adult and youth education; and health care. Project HOME is committed to social and political advocacy. An integral part of our work is education about the realities of homelessness and poverty and vigorous advocacy on behalf of and with homeless and low-income persons for more just and humane public policies. Project HOME is committed to nurturing a spirit of community among persons from all walks of life, all of whom have a role to play in making this a more just and compassionate society.

SOME (So Others Might Eat) is an interfaith, community-based organization that exists to help the poor and homeless of our nation's capital. We meet the immediate daily needs of the people we serve with food, clothing and health care. We help break the cycle of homelessness by offering services, such as affordable housing, job training, addiction treatment, and counseling, to the poor the elderly and individuals with mental illness.

Salute to Youth Project, Inc. was initiated in 1960. This project, a 501(c)(3) organization, is primarily funded by the Brooklyn Chapter of the Links, Inc., provides scholarships and financial awards to college-bound high school seniors. Since its inception, Salute to Youth Project, Inc. has given financial awards to more than 600 students. Through the years, more than $425,000 has been awarded to deserving seniors.

We support a thriving primary school and operate Kigutu International Academy, a world-class boarding secondary school that prepares talented young people to lead change in Burundi and beyond. Alongside health and education, we strengthen food security, create livelihoods, and support the arts. These investments build healthier communities and nurture peace in a country still recovering from civil war. With over 90 percent of our staff from Burundi, Village Health Works is powered by local leadership. Our doctors, teachers, and community partners are caring for patients today while training the next generation to build a stronger future.
