Earth Island Institute (EII) was founded in 1982 by veteran environmentalist David R. Brower (1912 - 2000) to encourage the efforts of creative individuals on critical ecological issues. EII supports diverse new initiatives and provides a stable base for on-going projects. This network of 60 projects shares central resources and benefits from the synergetic exchange of experience, ideas, and energy. EII has been widely recognized for its unique organizational model that "reduces, reuses, and recycles" resources, freeing individual projects to communicate with their constituencies and to respond quickly to evolving environmental and social justice challenges. Earth Island continues its pursuit of David Brower's ideal of Global CPR -- conservation, preservation, and restoration for planet Earth.

Employing a unique and holistic approach, Beyond Sport’s programs leverage a global network of sport for social change innovators, progressive organizations and expertise built up over more than a decade to tackle issues head on and collectively. To date, the organization has provided 301 grants, totalling $9.1M across 66 countries.

The Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation is committed to raising awareness and educating the public about the most common cancer in men ages 15–44, while providing lifesaving support to patients, survivors, and caregivers with compassion and care. Our Mission? Awareness . . Support . . Survivorship We are a nonprofit compassionately dedicated to the fight against testicular cancer through awareness and outreach, promoting the importance of monthly self-exams for early detection, support and guidance to patients and families, providing a resource for the medical community, providing financial assistance to those in need and continuing to save lives. We stress the importance of early detection through the practice of monthly testicular self-exams (TSE), just as women are taught to detect early signs of breast cancer through monthly breast self-exams. We are fighting to make TSE part of health education classes taught at the middle school, high school, and college levels. We seek to reduce the great stigma and taboo associated with talking about testicular health; most teenagers and young men are embarrassed to openly talk about their bodies and the changes taking place. We do this simply by talking about testicular cancer, its impacts and how to recognize the signs through regular testicular self-exams. We assist patients in seeking the most effective treatments for testicular cancer that yield the best outcomes. Testicular cancer is not as common as many of the other cancers and as a result some medical facilities are inexperienced in the treatment of this disease and may be unaware of the most effective protocols. It is crucial when diagnosed with testicular cancer that the patient has access to the most reliable and expert care that yields the best treatment plans and outcomes resulting in lifesaving measures. We seek to reduce the financial burden of a testicular cancer diagnoses by empowering the patient with resource information for financial assistance through the use of online fundraising tools. We also provide limited funding to those in immediate financial need, including helping with gas, groceries and more. We provide an online private support group to help connect those who have been affected by this disease. The role of emotional and psychological support in the management of testicular cancer is extremely important and vital to an individual's overall well-being. We have over 4,000 active members in our private support group, fostering a strong and supportive community through meaningful conversations. Our programs: Financial Assistance Program - Provides direct financial aid as well as other resources for financial assistance. Academic Education Program - Provides academic and health professionals, such as teachers, coaches, doctors and nurses with the knowledge and tools to educate students and patients about the importance of early detection of testicular cancer. Centers of Excellence - Features a comprehensive list of centers recognized for their expertise in the treatment of testicular cancer. Outreach & Awareness Program - Organizes events, fundraisers, and conferences while distributing educational materials nationwide to spread awareness. Utilizes social media as a key tool for outreach. Testicular Cancer Conferences - Brings together an international community of TC patients, survivors, and their loved ones to address the physical and emotional challenges of diagnosis and treatment at a young age. Covers life during and after cancer, lifestyle changes for healing, and features a panel of medical experts providing essential information and long-term survivorship resources. Research Studies - Collaborates with researchers to advance the understanding of testicular cancer survivorship. The mission of God's Love We Deliver is to improve the health and well-being of men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-altering illnesses by alleviating hunger and malnutrition. We prepare and deliver nutritious, high-quality meals to people who, because of their illness, are unable to provide or prepare meals for themselves. We also provide illness-specific nutrition education and counseling to our clients and families, care providers and other service organizations. All of our services are provided free of charge without regard to income.

Forgotten Harvest “rescued” over 45 million pounds of food last year by collecting surplus prepared and perishable food from 800 sources, including grocery stores, fruit and vegetable markets, restaurants, caterers, dairies, farmers, wholesale food distributors and other Health Department-approved sources. This donated food, which would otherwise go to waste, is delivered free-of-charge to 250 emergency food providers in the Metro Detroit area.

Girls Inc. inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold through direct service and advocacy. Our programming – delivered to 156,000 girls in partnership with schools and at our centers – across 83 affiliates in over 330 cities and 1,400 sites focuses on the development of the whole girl. A combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships, a safe pro-girl environment, and research-based programming equips girls to lead healthy and productive lives, break the cycle of poverty, and become role models in their communities.

COMMUNITY HELP IN PARK SLOPE, INC. ("CHIPS") IS A NONSECTARIAN, VOLUNTARY, COMMUNITY-BASED NEW YORK NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION CHARTERED IN 1977. ITS MISSION IS TWOFOLD: TO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND TEMPORARY HOUSING TO NEW AND EXPECTANT MOTHERS, AND TO FEED THOSE IN NEED THROUGH THEIR FOOD PANTRY AND SOUP KITCHEN.

WE ENVISION A CULTURE WHERE: People go to theaters to see movies about great heroes with strong character and leave with an attitude of reverence and a feeling of awe at the beauty, the truth, and the virtue that those movies reflect. We’ll be able to look back on the previous decade and say that at least a third of the top ten movies of that decade bring glory and honor to God. Great movies will give people of faith confidence and courage and instill in them the pride to live their values.
