Founded in 2001, ACORE is a 501 (c)(3) national non-profit organization that unites finance, policy and technology to accelerate the transition to a renewable energy economy. Washington state ranks among the top states in the nation in the concentration of STEM jobs, and opportunities are increasing rapidly. By 2030, 70% of high-demand, family-sustaining wage jobs available in our state will require postsecondary degree credentials; 67% of those will require postsecondary STEM credentials. But Washington students are not equitably or adequately prepared to take advantage of these opportunities. Today, only 40% of all students are on track to attain postsecondary credential. Worse yet, students of color, rural students, girls and young women, and students living in poverty still lack access to these pathways—they face disparities early on and fall further behind as they move through the education system. In our state STEM is at the forefront of discovery, on the frontlines of creative 21st century problem-solving, and serves as one of the largest pathways to family-sustaining wage careers and long-term economic security. STEM pathways have promise like few others in Washington and it is imperative that Black, Brown, and indigenous students, rural and low-income students, and girls have access. Washington STEM is working to ensure that all students have equal opportunity to benefit from the transformational possibilities that STEM has to offer.

To provide children in the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident, who have been deprived of opportunities to freely enjoy outdoor activities, with occasions to be in touch with the great nature and to experience the state-of-the-art science, technology, sports and other arts.

Reporters Without Borders USA (RWB USA) is the U.S. office of the global organization, Reporters Sans Frontieres, a leading defender of freedom of information with almost 30 years of experience. A core belief of Reporters Without Borders is that only through freedom of information can one verify the existence of all the other freedoms. Without free circulation of information, it is impossible to strengthen human rights protection, advance government accountability, and improve the reach and the quality of social justice and civil liberties. At RWB, we are defending information, defending reporters and citizen reporters (netizens) whose work benefits ALL citizens.

Ateliere Fara Frontiere (AFF) is a romanian non profit organisation, based on the Work Integration Social Enterprise (WISE) model. The organisation's purpouse is to create jobs for disadvantaged people, and prepare them for social and professional integration on the labour market. In the Bucharest Work Integration workshop, launched in 2009, we have hired more than 130 people in difficulty who have been working or still work within our three production units: - WEEE workshop: collecting, recycling and reusing Waste of Electrical an Electronical Equipment. 90% of the IT refurbished WEEE are donated to romanian schools and NGOs - remesh workshop: collection of advertising billboards waste which we transform into bags, pencil cases, wallets, folders and other ethical fashion accessories - Services workshop: moving, riddance, packing and packaging, facilities, small logistics for socially responsible companies and institutions Through reusing and thus extending the waste lifespan, we avoid landfilling, we offer creative and solidar recycling solutions and we provide at the same time a workplace and a social and professional path for people in great difficulty.

The vision of SAFECO is to contribute to a Congolese society where women and adolescent girls in general, and in particular indigenous peoples and women living with disabilities, live in peace, have access to quality health care, to clean water, to an improved livelihood, to quality education, equal rights, and where the rights of nature are respected. SAFECO's mission aims to improve the conditions in which women, adolescent girls, women with disabilities and indigenous women in our society live. Since its beginning, SAFECO has focused on empowering and educating girls and women through information and communication technologies.

Our goal is to develop programs as sustainable models that can be replicated globally. Our people-to-people initiatives integrate health, education, arts and livelihood as a basis for mediation. By building Hope, we overcome the hatred propagated by terror organizations. The success of these cost-effective models shows that empowering impoverished and conflict-plagued communities strengthens international security, stability and peace.
