The Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law is a nonpartisan law and policy institute that seeks to improve our systems of democracy and justice. We work for positive, constructive solutions to help stabilize the lives of homeless people and provide them an opportunity to become productive citizens. Our work addresses the underlying causes of homelessness: the lack of housing, income, social services, and civil rights. We take a leadership role ensuring implementation of homeless assistance and rights programs while advancing solutions to homelessness, providing a voice to the over three million Americans who are homeless each year.
