NCJW|LA is a section of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms. NCJW|LA serves more than 12,000 individuals through our Community Mental Health and Supportive Services, Scholarships, Talkline, Youth Educational Programs and Services, Back 2 School Store, intern training programs and our clothing assistance projects. NCJW|LA social justice programs provide education and legislative advocacy on issues that affect and impact women, children, and families in the areas of children’s rights, economic justice, healthcare, human trafficking, immigration reform, reproductive justice, LGBTQ+ rights, and gender-related violence.

Picking Me advocates mMental health awareness and acceptance for Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors- such as Dermatillomania aka Skin Picking Disorder- for sufferers, supporters, and educational communities alike, encouraging individuals to take control back from the OCD related disorder by sharing why they are #PickingMe over their BFRB.

The Aspen Hope Center's mission is to extend a beacon of hope to those in emotional crisis and offer a continuum of comprehensive care while steadfastly working to decrease the stigma of mental illness through expert clinical care, public education, community collaboration and outreach.

Lincoln provides a unique array of comprehensive programs and services for some of the Bay Area’s most vulnerable populations. GiGi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center’s mission is to change the way the world views Down syndrome through national campaigns, educational programs, and by empowering individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community. We offer free therapeutic and educational programming to individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

The Mission of Independence Center is to enhance the quality of life, to promote independent functioning, and to facilitate personal growth for adults with a history of mental illness. To achieve this, Independence Center provides ongoing social, educational, vocational, and housing opportunities.

To be a seamless system of care for those in need in Broward County by providing necessary food, ancillary services and referrals.

Heroes for Children advocates for and provides financial and social assistance to families with children (0-22 yrs of age) battling cancer. We serve all children and their families who are receiving cancer treatment in all Texas pediatric hospitals.

Our mission is to promote healthy relationships by providing education, intervention and safe places.

Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing rescue/sanctuary for horses and other farm animals in which they can heal and thrive, and in which they in turn help us to heal and thrive. To this end we host classes in animal centered healing arts and wellness; humane and kind horse and dog training methods; advanced certification in equine assisted psycho therapies; and a safe and friendly environment for children and adults with autism, alzheimers, cancer, and mental/emotional challenges to learn, grow and enrich their lives. The animals help to teach us about connection, relationships and family, lessons we can carry into our daily lives to be happier, healthier and more responsible members of our local community and even internationally.
