The mission of Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County is to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support to terminally ill patients and their families with free around the clock registered nursing availability and trained volunteers.This support enables patients to live out their final days as fully and comfortably as possible. Ongoing grief support services are also offered to the families and to anyone in the community who has experienced the death of a loved one.Since its inception in 1978, all services have been provided free of charge to patients and their families; VHOCC does not bill any government agency for its services
Founded in 1968, the mission of Our Little Brothers & Sisters(OLBS) is to support the efforts of Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos(NPH) in helping orphaned and abandoned children in Latin America and Haiti by providing food, clothing, shelter, medicine, education and vocational training in a nurturing family environment. OLBS is founded upon the principles of unconditional love and acceptance. Orphaned and abandoned children who are welcomed into OLBS supported homes are never asked to leave or given up for adoption. They are taught work, sharing and responsibility in a secure, loving family environment; OLBS strives to equip the children with the life skills they will need for successful adulthood. In addition to providing support for homes for orphan children, OLBS reaches out into the community. OLBS supports outreach programs to aid those living in extreme poverty, including community medical clinics which treat tens of thousands of people per year, community schools which are available to local children, facilities for severely disabled children, medical clinics and street schools in the slums of Haiti.
The mission of Point Washington Medical Clinic (PWMC) is to build a stronger and healthier community by providing high quality primary health care regardless of the patient’s means or access. By being volunteer driven, PWMC’s own costs will be maintained at a substantially lower cost per patient than other providers.
