We also try to build awareness of the despair faced by orphan children around the world and the ways in which their needs can be addressed. The Southern AIDS Coalition promotes accessible and high quality systems of HIV and STD prevention, care, treatment and housing throughout the South. We envision the South a place where new HIV infections are rare and when they do occur, people living with HIV, regardless of age, gender, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic circumstance, or geographical location, have access to high-quality, life-extending care free from stigma and discrimination.

The mission of AIDS Action Committee is to stop the AIDS epidemic and related health inequities by eliminating new infections, maximizing healthier outcomes of those infected and at risk, and attacking the root causes of HIV/AIDS. To achieve this mission AAC provides services to the individual and addresses the root causes of the epidemic

The mission of Moveable Feast is to improve the health of Marylanders experiencing food insecurity and chronic illness by preparing and delivering medically tailored meals and providing nutrition education, thereby achieving racial, social, and health equity.

The mission of the Equestrian Aid Foundation is to provide grant-based assistance to horsemen and equine-related professionals suffering from illness or catastrophic injuries. The EAF is dedicated to helping people of all ages and from all backgrounds and disciplines, offering funding for medical, rehabilitation and essential expenses. Our goal is to empower our recipients and provide necessary tools to overcome adversity.

Afrika Tikkun was founded in 1994 soon after the emergence of Democracy in South Africa. Our visionary founders-- the late Chief Rabbi Cyril Harris and philanthropist and businessman, late Bertie Lubner-- had a vision of focusing on children knowing they represented the future of the country, which inspired the-then President Nelson Mandela to volunteer as our Patron-in-Chief-- an honor that he only bestowed on four organizations during his lifetime. In 2002 he wrote: “Afrika Tikkun demonstrates in a practical and sustainable manner what can be done with limited resources, great commitment and passion. It is my belief that Afrika Tikkun represents the best of what civil society can offer in partnership with Government’s considerable efforts.” For the last 22 years, Afrika Tikkun has worked to redress the consequences of institutionalized oppression in South Africa. Our unique Cradle-to-Career development model enables our 550+ employees to deliver services addressing holistic educational, medical and economic needs of marginalized youth from early infancy through adulthood, inspiring and enabling them to become productive citizens and leaders.
