Recent research has shown that women and adolescent girls of African descent are disproportionately affected by chronic disorders such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and are more physically inactive than their racial or ethnic counterparts.In response to this, we have narrowed our focus with programs and interventions for this population. Our secondary focus is education and enrichment among youth in Southern Africa.
