APF's mission is to reinforce the community of Fondwa Haiti, as well as, other local grassroots organizations throughout Haiti so that they can create wealth in their own rural communities. The current APF Programs in Fondwa include: - Basic Infrastructure creation and improvement (roads, buildings, irrigation, etc.); - Environmental protection, renewable energy, and reforestation (solar power, tree planting, agricultural best practices, etc.) - Access to drinking water, health care, financial services, and food security (potable water, clinic, credit union, orphanage, radio station, etc.) - Education through a primary/secondary school for 600+ regional children and Haiti's first rural peasant university - Small businesses including Restaurant Lakay, construction material depot and transportation services - Several post-earthquake construction projects continue

Better Days creates spaces and customizes quality humanitarian programs for unaccompanied minors and other refugees living in Greece. Some of our most successful projects, The Olive Grove/ Better Days for Moria (2015-16), Elpida Refugee Centre in Thessaloniki (2016) Medical & Legal Intervention in Moria camp (2017), TAPUAT Child & Family Hub (2018) and our flagship Gekko Kids. Currently, we operate four alternative educational projects on Lesvos; Gekko Kids, Socrates Sports & Development, Gekko X, and EcoHub projects. Furthermore, we continue to respond in emergencies on Lesvos, with particular focus on winterization and identification of unaccompanied children at risk, deprived of basic aid, legal support, and shelter. Our aim is to design humanitarian interventions and programs that are innovative for the field; challenging traditional notions of emergency education, de-victimizing the distribution of aid to affected communities, and enabling healing and recovery by customizing personalized solutions aiming in individual growth and personal capacity. Whether we are doing emergency response or quality education for refugee children, we continue to emphasize the importance of 'space' as a fundamental basis of allowing for healing, transformative education, the essence of participatory practices, and the collateral impact of individual flourishing within displaced communities on the move.

Our organization is active in cooperation towards development, the integration of various cultures and the growing partnership based on solidarity. CEMINA ( Communication, Education, Information and Adaptation) is a not- for- profit organization founded in 1990 to empower women and communities through the use of the radio. Over the years CEMINA has created 400 women's radio programs and has been awarded with various prizes. The radio model, created by CEMINA, is considered a social technology and has been disseminated not only in Brazil but in other countries as well. Since 2007, CEMINA has shifted its focus from radio to the capacity building for social start ups and education for adaptation to climate change. One of its main projects is Adapta Sertao ( www.adaptasertao.net) which aim is to develop a social technology that benefits the population of small underserved towns in the semi-arid region of Brazil. The project consists in articulating a group of social technologies that use scare resources such as water and arable land to guarantee the livelihoods of the local communities especially small farmers. The project has received very prestigious awards such as the 2008 SEED Award. It has also been recognized as a best practice by UN Habitat. CEMINA also supports a children- youth program at Favela Julio Otoni. The program offers a series of benefits for children with ages between 6 and 14 years old. The idea is to offer these children the new possibilities of seeing and actualizing the world. The program is done with volunteers.

Zahana in Madagascar is dedicated to participatory rural development, education, revitalization of traditional Malagasy medicine, reforestation, and sustainable agriculture. It is Zahana's philosophy that participatory development must be based on local needs and solutions proposed by local people. It means asking communities what they need and working with them collaboratively so they can achieve their goals. Each community's own needs are unique and require a tailor -made response
