Save The Bay is leading a region-wide effort to re-establish 100,000 acres of tidal marsh that are essential for a healthy Bay. Volunteers from the community, local businesses, and schools work with our science team to perform hands-on restoration of the Bay shoreline. Wolf Haven International is a nationally recognized sanctuary for captive-born, displaced wolves. Our mission is to conserve and protect wolves and their habitat. Toward that end, in addition to rescue and sanctuary, Wolf Haven offers a variety of educational presentations focused on wolves and conservation-related themes. Wolf Haven promotes wolf restoration in historical ranges and teaches the value of all wildlife. Since 1982, Wolf Haven has rescued 300 captive-born wolves and provided them with compassionate care, companionship with fellow wolves, and a safe lifetime home. The Connecticut Zoological Society is responsible for the operations of Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport, Connecticut, founded in 1922. The CZS exhibits rare and endangered species primarily from North and South America. Education of the visiting public in the areas of environmental and conservation science and issues is our primary goal. The CZS supports conservation efforts in Connecticut and throughout the world.
