The Lasallian Volunteers — a program of the De La Salle Christian Brothers of the Lasallian Region of North America — provides dedicated, well-trained volunteers for one or more years of service to schools and agencies of the Brothers whose mission is to serve the poor. Acting out of faith, rooted in the Gospel, and sharing community with the Brothers and other Lasallians, the volunteers empower the poor by personalized service primarily through education. Chartered in 1998, The Next Step Public Charter School's mission is to provide students who face extraordinary challenges and who are not supported in traditional high schools with the opportunity to continue their education.

We fund $50 vouchers for low income 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders to buy 10 new books each at the start of each summer. It's all based on research around summer setback and the achievement gap. We'll serve over 5,000 kids in 2018!
