Mongabay.org’s mission is to raise awareness about social and environmental issues relating to tropical forests and other ecosystems, to wildlife, and to the important role that natural ecosystems play in maintaining critical services, including stabilizing the global climate system. To achieve this, Mongabay.org creates educational materials in several languages and provide opportunities for science journalists to report on environmental issues through well-established on-line platforms.

The Roxy is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire, educate & engage diverse audiences about the natural and human worlds through cinematic and cultural events. Programs include year-round cinematic and cultural programming at the Roxy, the annual International Wildlife Film Festival the Montana Film Festival, and educational programs under the Roxy Film Academy. The Roxy Film Academy is a leader in the filmmaking community and provides education for youth, production support, promotion and excellence in film exhibition for Montana films and filmmakers.

Founded in 1973 by community and student activists under the name University Community Video, the organization employed the powerful tool of video art and technology to elicit community dialogue, inspire social change and empower people to tell their own stories. Over time, we evolved and embraced a range of artistic media, changing our name in the 1980s and growing into one of the nation?s premier community-based arts centers. We receive recognition for our success engaging the power of the arts to increase social connections between people from different social, economic and ethnic groups. Our multi-disciplinary art programs inspire people to make changes in their lives and communities. By stimulating broader civic dialogue and by giving voice to the issues and experiences of underrepresented communities, we contribute to a stronger, healthier society. Intermedia Arts presents and supports the creation of the highest quality artistic work created through an authentic, community-engaged process. We place particular emphasis on empowering underrepresented communities by providing space, support and recognition of the rights of specific communities to assert their place in cultural life. Community Media Center of Marin provides access to training and the tools of media production so residents can disseminate television programming to the local community via Marin TV's three cable channels.
