The Symphony of the Potomac is a community-based, primarily volunteer orchestra in Montgomery County, Maryland, under the direction of Maestro Joel Lazar. The orchestra provides Montgomery County and the Greater Washington DC area with the opportunity to enjoy symphonic music at a reasonable price. We foster an appreciation of orchestral and other instrumental music and provide music education for both youth and adults. Our regular concert season takes place at the Cultural Arts Center in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland.

We do this by providing cost-efficient access to comprehensive, wellness education and preventive health care, mental health and social services. Regardless of the patients’ ability to pay, NOMC is the medical home for more than 2,500 local musicians and tradition bearers.
