The purpose of Cut Circle is to bring Iate-rnedieval and Renaissance music to life. Through public concerts and workshops as well as published recordings, the ensemble engages students, scholars, and general audiences.

The company fosters collaborative relationships among musicians, visual artists, and choreographers reaching local, national, and international audiences through concert and informal performances, and dance education. Founder and artistic director, Dawn Karlovsky, is a 2015 Artist Fellow of the Regional Arts Commission in St. Louis.
