GLWR was founded in Michigan in May of 2005 by five ­­­individuals with a single common bond – a love of the Weimaraner dog. We understood the special needs of the breed and had a desire to help those dogs that found themselves lost, abandoned, neglected or mistreated and through no fault of their own were without a family and a loving home. GLWR was founded with the premise and intent of assisting Weimaraners in need of re-homing assistance.

Our objectives are to: * Provide educational activities regarding the care and needs of parrots; * Facilitate adoption for parrots who need a new family; * Provide a home for large parrots who outlive their guardians; * Provide a new home for neglected or unwanted parrots; * Sponsor research of wild habitats and natural parrot behaviors; * Support conservation and eco-tourism; * Sponsor better avian education for vets and vet students; and * Advocate standards of care for breeders, pet stores, sanctuaries, and rescues.

Pheasants Forever's mission is to conserve pheasants, quail, and other wildlife through habitat improvements, public access, educations, and conservation advocacy

Founded in 1989, RWRC has grown to be the largest rehabilitation and education center of its kind in Texas serving over 100 counties. In 1999, through a collaborative effort between the EPA and RWRC, a closed 260-acre landfill was reclaimed and the wetland habitat restored. As a result, Rogers Wildlife relocated its rehabilitation and education center to Hutchins, TX and now serves as a home to thousands of birds each year. Our overall goal of the educational program is to foster the link between wildlife habitat, schools and community organizations.

Suncoast Animal league is a 501(c)(3) no kill, no-time-limit shelter. We are dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless animals both domestic and wild.

The Florida Exotic Bird Sanctuary is dedicated to the care and well being of parrots and other exotic birds. They do not breed, sell, trade, or offer for adoption the birds in their care. Instead, they endeavor to provide them with a permanent home that allows them to mingle with other compatible birds in outdoor open-flight aviaries. They also strive to provide permanent, caring homes for birds with special needs, including those with physical challenges or behavioral issues. Finally, they are committed to raising public awareness regarding the moral responsibilities and physical demands of keeping parrots or other wild animals as pets.
