Laurel Cats is a community based, all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to finding and implementing ways for free-roaming "community" cats to live harmoniously alongside people, their homes, and their businesses throughout Laurel, Maryland while humanely reducing their numbers. The goal of Paws of Honor (POH) is to provide veterinary care and products at no charge* for retired military and law enforcement dogs that have served our country, locally or globally. Service dogs deserve accessible, high quality veterinary care in return for their commitment and sacrifice for our country and the monetary burden associated with veterinary care should not fall on the shoulders of the officer/handler/owner once the dog has been decommissioned.

The Delaware SPCA is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to enhance the well-being of companion animals with their human care-givers and communities. They promote the humane treatment of animals by providing adoption opportunities, low-cost veterinary services and educational programs.

Our overarching mission is to help homeless, abused, and special needs animals receive the veterinary care they desperately need; to find loving, permanent homes for all adoptable animals that have been placed in our care; to provide low-cost spay/neuter services to under-resourced communities and individuals; and to put an end to needless euthanasia because of pet overpopulation.

Last Chance Animal Rescue operates in Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia. We take in cats and dogs from more than 50 high-kill shelters in 12 states and provide disaster-relief services for pets. We partner with more than 30 PetSmart and Petco stores in the region and provide full service in-store cat adoptions. We promote and provide low cost, high quality spay/neuter of companion animals and provide educational material to retain these animals in the home.

Blue Ridge Wildlife Center (BRWC) embraces the compelling mission of caring for native wildlife by integrating veterinary medicine, rehabilitation, education, and research. We are a full-service wildlife teaching hospital and rehabilitation facility that cares for native wildlife by treating animals in need and by educating citizens on how to protect animals and their habitat in perpetuity. With these two goals, we aim for greater native biodiversity and healthy ecosystems for the benefit of all living things.
