Alliance for Animals

The Alliance for Animals is a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rights organization whose fundamental belief is that all animals, human and nonhuman, should not be treated as the property of another. The Alliance was created to promote ethical, compassionate treatment of all animals and the planet we share.

Detroit Bully Corps

The foundation of our program is education. Without education on spay/neuter, breed specific legislation (BSL), training, breed specific workshops, the dog fighting culture and responsible ownership, the epidemic will never end. Rescue is a mere bandage in the overall scale of the canine epidemic. Shelters are overrun, rescues are overflowing and society is in need of education. For every one spot we fill in our program, we turn away 50. We average 20-25 canines at any given time and 90% of our rescue population is comprised of the American Pit Bull Terrier. We work with canines from any and every background, whether it be a surrendered family pet, bait dog, seasoned fighter or the abused. We are a no-kill rescue/rehabilitation in that we will never euthanize for space. We, as a moral, ethical and objective organization, will NOT adopt out a canine that is a threat to society. We are advocates of the American Pit Bull Terrier, as such we will not add to the epidemic by being irresponsible.

Friends For Life

At Friends For Life, every animal matters. Founded in 2002, Friends For Life introduced the no-kill shelter model to Houston – saving animals regardless of their breed, age or condition. Houston-grown, we’re here to help our neighbors care for the pets they love. We’re not finished until every animal has a safe home. Until then, we’ll be innovating, improving and tracking results to find the most effective ways to save lives.

Tiny Tim Rescue Fund

The Tiny Tim Rescue Fund is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization started by CFDA Award winning designer and animal activist John Bartlett - to honor the memory of his three-legged pit bull rescue named Tiny Tim. The organization is dedicated to raising and distributing funds for animal rescue groups who pull innocent animals directly from high-kill shelters thereby saving the lives of countless dogs and cats. The money raised by the Tiny Tim Rescue Fund goes to providing these animals with the proper medical attention, training, affection, human interaction and foster parents they desperately need so that they will one day find a loving, forever home. Through our ongoing efforts, generous individual and corporate donations and through the sale of John Bartlett's Tiny Tim Collection (available on this site), The Tiny Tim Rescue Fund is able to advance it's mission to help give every dog and cat a chance for a better, happier life - a life all animals are entitled to.

Pets for the Elderly

Pets For the Elderly began in Cleveland in 1992, and expanded nationally in 2001 with a goal of saving as many companion animals as possible from euthanasia. We have a small staff, and all administrative costs are paid by the founder's related foundation. Currently there are 48 participating shelters in 27 states. More shelters are added as funding becomes available. Our goal is to save the lives of 6,000 companion pets annually, while enhancing the lives of an equal number of senior citizens.

Veganism is the Next Evolution

VINE Sanctuary provides a haven for animals who have escaped or been rescued from the meat, dairy and egg industries or other abusive circumstances, such as cockfights or pigeon-shoots. Sanctuary residents include chickens, cows, ducks, doves, geese, pigeons, sheep, emus, and even a few parakeets. In addition to sheltering and advocating for animals, we conduct research and education aimed at creating systemic changes in agriculture, trade, and consumption as well as human attitudes about animals and the environment. We work within an ecofeminist understanding of the interconnection of all life and the intersection of all forms of oppression. Thus we welcome and work to facilitate alliances among animal, environmental, and social justice activists.

Animals
Coastal German Shepherd Rescue of Southern California

To educate the public about German Shepherds, their lifespan, personality, activity level, along with overall responsible dog ownership. We also raise awareness of overpopulation of animals through education, training, spaying and neutering. Coastal German Shepherd Rescue of Southern California is dedicated to finding loving homes for abandoned German Shepherds, and we work very hard to match each dog with adoptive families.
