Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society is a local, no‑kill animal welfare organization that rescues, cares for, and places homeless dogs and cats. They run adoption and foster programs, offer community services such as low‑cost clinics and pet food assistance, and provide humane-education and outreach to reduce pet overpopulation and keep people and pets together.

The Culpeper County Humane Society is an all‑volunteer, home‑foster based 501(c)(3) animal rescue that provides medical care, temporary foster care, and placement for dogs and cats in Culpeper County. It runs low‑cost spay/neuter and community support programs (including a pet pantry and chaining‑rescue efforts) to reduce shelter intake and save animals at risk of euthanasia.

Crash's Landing and Big Sid's sanctuary are devoted to taking at-risk stray cats off the streets of the greater grand rapids area, providing them with veterinary care, and housing them in our facilities until dedicated, loving permanent homes can be found.

Center for Wildlife is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is to cultivate and strengthen relationships between humans, wildlife and the environment resulting in a healthier, more sustainable community. They operate as an all-foster rescue, placing animals through foster homes and relying on donations and adoption fees for medical care and rehoming.

Happy Tails is a Bradford County, PA no‑kill shelter that rescues, fosters, and rehomes abused, abandoned, and stray companion animals. It also runs spay/neuter and education programs to promote humane pet ownership and to prevent cruelty, and seeks to return lost animals to owners or place them in permanent homes.

Homes for Orphaned Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.) is a not-for-profit organization of animal lovers from Saratoga and surrounding counties who are dedicated to assisting animals whose owners have passed away or can no longer keep them. Some of the pets are surrendered directly to H.O.P.E., whereas others come from various local rescues or shelters which are at capacity. H.O.P.E. gives these homeless pets a second chance for a wonderful life; to be part of a family, to be a therapy pet or just to be someone’s best friend. The goal of H.O.P.E. is to find suitable adopters who will provide these pets with a lifelong commitment of love and care.
