Animal Care Society is a volunteer‑driven, no‑kill adoption shelter that rescues and cares for dogs and cats until they can be placed in safe, permanent homes. Pawster's mission is to support people during times of crisis by providing compassionate, temporary care for their pets. When pet owners experience a temporary crisis (loss of housing, domestic violence, hospitalization, addiction, etc.), Pawster Nashville places their cat or dog in a loving foster home until the owner is back on their feet and ready to be reunited. This keeps pets out of shelters, and it keeps families together.
