Canine Companions for Independence is a nonprofit that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing expertly trained service dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships at no cost to clients. The Southwest Training Center is one of six regional training centers located across the nation! We primarily serve residents of Arizona, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Southern California, Southern Nevada, and Hawaii. Our dogs are matched with children (age 5+), adults, and Veterans with disabilities, as well as with professionals working with vulnerable populations in healthcare, criminal justice, and educational settings.

Humane Colorado, formerly the Dumb Friends League, established in 1910, is a national leader in animal welfare. The organization advocates for animals and the people who care for them through compassionate care and support services. Their initiatives extend beyond sheltering, focusing on life-saving services, connecting families with homeless animals, and addressing barriers to pet ownership. Additionally, they emphasize enhancing the human-animal bond and innovative solutions to tackle contemporary challenges in animal welfare.

The Ocean Cleanup is a non-profit organization developing advanced technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. The Ocean Cleanup has three core approaches to tackling plastic pollution: 1) Clean legacy ocean plastic - Since 2018, The Ocean Cleanup has deployed technologies to remove plastic that has accumulated in ocean garbage patches. It's current system (System 002) has removed more than 225,000 kg of plastic from The Great Pacific Garbage Patch. 2) Turn off the tap: The Ocean Cleanup also develops and deploys Interceptor technologies that prevent plastic from reaching the oceans via rivers, focusing on 1000 rivers that are responsible for 80% of riverine plastic pollution. To date, 19 Interceptor solutions have been deployed across 8 countries. 3) Research: In the process of understanding the problem, The Ocean Cleanup has become a global leader in field research on marine plastic pollution.

LDCRF is actively involved in taking in and finding new, loving homes for at risk cats and dogs. In this process, LDCRF ensures that these animals are temperament tested, current on all necessary vaccinations, and either spayed or neutered prior to becoming available for adoption. LDCRF conducts public adoption events at area Petsmarts on weekends. These events are staffed by volunteers who interview prospective adopters, answer questions about the animals, and take advantage of the opportunity to educate the public on the benefits of spaying and neutering; the need to obtain proper veterinary care; and of providing basic training to their pets. They await adoption in foster care and at the kennel facility located in Falls Church. The rescue also has a ranch, home to rescued farm animals.

Better Piggies Rescue is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and education of pot belly pigs and farm hogs in Arizona.

Offer affordable wellness services and resources to pets and owners in need, targeting underserved communities, to support whole-life care. Promote the animal-human bond through outreach, education and therapeutic programming. And, act as an advocate on behalf of animals in crisis and as an enforcer of their rights and protection. We are deeply committed to these goals while ensuring the financial security and stability of the organization for future generations.

Geauga Humane Society offers an adoption program for homeless animals, low cost spay/neuter programs for owners with financial need, a TNR program for Geauga County residents, a Behavior HelpLine for callers with animals with behavior problems, a shelter dog training & behavior program called Homeward Bound, community education (training, behavior, pet loss support, pet first aid, etc.), humane education programs for children and adults, volunteer and foster care programs, and TLC Kids, an on-site educational program for children. The Rescue Village facility includes a clinic that serves the medical and surgical needs of our shelter animals.

PAWS NY works to keep New York City’s most vulnerable residents together with their pets by delivering critical, hands-on services through volunteers and partners — including volunteer dog-walking and in-home cat care, a pet pantry, subsidized veterinary care, and foster/emergency placement when needed.
