In response to the needs of the local public schools and their severely depleted music programs, Barry Manilow gathered some friends and formed The Manilow Music Project as part of his nonprofit Manilow Health and Hope Fund. The mission statement of the Manilow Music Project highlights the importance of music programs in our schools and donates instruments and materials to school music programs.

The Coastside Women's Club is a small 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, whose mission is to help underserved youth and families in the cities of Half Moon Bay, El Granada, and Montara. We provide scholarships for Half Moon Bay High School graduates and funds to support after-school reading programs. We also sponsor low-income student participation in school book fairs and provide student backpacks and school supplies. We have no paid staff! We are all volunteers. Every fundraising dollar goes to support our charities and scholarships.

We understand our agency exists within larger systems of oppression, and we seek to disrupt those structures through radical hospitality, advocacy on an individual and community level, and meaningful connections to resources. We work to hold a space where all guests can connect, have a voice and be empowered.
Humble Design serves individuals, families, and veterans emerging from homelessness by transforming empty houses into welcoming homes using donated furniture and household goods. Our warehouses are curated by design teams that personalize homes based on our clients’ needs and preferences. More than a makeover, it’s a start over. We assist the transformation of lives in Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, San Diego, and Seattle.
