We are a South African registered charity dedicated to encouraging disadvantaged individuals and communities to develop to their full potential in sport, education and health. We are committed to using sport as a tool to develop the disadvantaged and vulnerable youth. We do this by; 1. Using direct sports coaching - for its health benefits, improved emotional well being and increased life skills (teamwork, leadership, decision making, communication). 2. Despite improvements in global and national laws and policies that provide the normative framework for women to advance their rights, it is imperative to acknowledge that a vast number of girls continue to experience violence and gender discrimination at home, in schools and in their communities especially when it comes to getting an education. As part of our smart and creative strategy to better the lives of humanity, we are committed to eradicating poverty, building peace and creating sustainable impact among young women and girls using education to achieve this aim. Graduate Women International (GWI), founded in 1919 as the International Federation of University (IFUW), is a worldwide, non-governmental organisation of women graduates. GWI advocates for women's rights, equality and empowerment through access to quality secondary and tertiary education and training up to the highest levels.
