The International Center for Collaboration and Development "PHOENIX" is a non-governmental, apolitical, non-profit public association. Health projects: The distribution of about 50 tons of books and educational materials in English, renovations, replacement of windows and the provision of furniture for schools and kindergartens. Sponsorship of orphan students in the process of obtaining a profession. Social projects: Providing humanitarian aid to vulnerable people, the elderly, orphans and children deprived of parental care, people with disabilities and palliative care. Distribution of 80 humanitarian aid trucks with furniture, blankets, clothes, walkers, wheelchairs, etc. Health projects: Over 100 tons of medical supplies and medical equipment were distributed to dozens of medical institutions in the country. Renovations, window changes, furniture insurance, medical equipment were made. Cultural and sports projects: Setting up sports halls with necessary equipment, awarding prizes for national and international competitions. Supporting gifted children. Aid to refugees from Ukraine: Humanitarian aid: 28 trucks with humanitarian aid (beds, mattresses, quilts, diapers, detergents, toys, etc.) were received from Europe and the USA and distributed to people in Ukraine. Educational projects: 14 SmartClass classrooms were opened, a total of 225 laptops and the necessary for children in Ukraine to continue their studies online. 600 sets of school supplies, additional Romanian language, English, IT lessons were distributed. Various extracurricular activities such as art therapy and sports, but also tourist visits through Museums, the Old Orhei, the Zoo. As a member of the global network Plan International, the NGO Plan International France works alongside girls to ensure their rights are respected and to achieve equality. Since 1993, with its teams on the ground, our NGO has been developing programs to combat the inequalities faced by girls and, more broadly, all children. These programs implement sustainable solutions built in collaboration with local communities and partners. In France, it also conducts advocacy work with policymakers and raises public awareness about gender equality. The four priority objectives of Plan International France are: Protection: Plan International France contributes to the creation of a protective environment that respects their rights so that all girls can grow up and become emancipated (protection against gender-based violence in schools, genital mutilation, forced marriages and early pregnancies, forced labor, etc.). Access to inclusive and quality education and vocational training: Education and training are among the most powerful tools that allow children and young people to access their rights, understand them, and ensure they are respected. Plan International France works to ensure that all children can attend school and receive a quality education. Sexual and reproductive health: Plan International France works to guarantee universal and continuous access to sexual and reproductive health services, including in emergency situations, to protect the health and well-being of adolescents and to combat their dropping out of school. Youth participation: Young people must be able to express themselves freely, be heard, and take part in decisions that affect them. Plan International France works to ensure that they are informed about their rights and are supported to become actors of change.

Bringing access to knowledge where it's most needed Since 2007, Bibliotheques Sans Frontieres (Libraries Without Borders) has worked to bring knowledge and information to people in need. We provide access and resources that connect people to books and digital resources, expanding the reach of libraries, training facilitators in post-emergency situations, and addressing the needs of under-resourced communities. From laundromats in Oakland, California, to refugee camps in Bangladesh, we bring tools to reduce inequality of access to information and knowledge.

Hospices of Hope's mission is to improve the quality of life for patients in South East Europe who are suffering from a terminal or life-limiting illness through increasing access to palliative care services and palliative care education. Palliative care aims to address the physical, emotional, spirtual and social needs of the patient and give support and guidance to their family members. We fulfil our mission by working with our in-country partner organisations in Romania, Serbia, Albania, Moldova, Greece and Ukraine (which together make up the Hospices of Hope Network) and supporting the training of health care professionals throughout Central and Eastern Europe. All care is provided free of charge to patients and their families. The four main pillars of our work are: 1) advocacy, for example lobbying governments to provide more resources and funding for palliative care and changing legislation where necessary, 2) technical expertise, for example providing expert advice on all aspects of fundraising or hospice buildings, 3) training, for example providing volunteer expert trainers from the UK or USA to help train local staff and 4) providing funding to help grow and develop palliative care services and education. We always aim to provide models of care that can be replicated in other cities or countries in the region, for example in Romania, our hospice was the only one for 10 years, but through our educational initiatives, there are now more than 100 functioning palliative care organisations in the country.

Founded in 2018, the ITTF Foundation was created by the International Table Tennis Federation as an independent nonprofit organization. The Foundation aims to create positive impacts through table tennis in communities worldwide. The ITTF Foundation operates through five programs to foster development through table tennis, contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The team tirelessly designs and implements initiatives that promote inclusivity, education, and empowerment, ensuring that the sport becomes a catalyst for positive social change. As a nonprofit organization we collaborate closely with local project implementation partners while we assist with planning, financial support, and knowledge sharing. Additionally, we connect with the Parkinson's community globally to promote the use of table tennis for enhancing well-being and health, particularly against neurodegenerative diseases.

KNE Sustainability Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting global sustainable thinking and action. Our goal is to accelerate the dissemination of sustainability knowledge through modern media and e-learning. We are funded through partnerships, grants, and collaborations with organizations committed to sustainability and regeneration. Our key initiatives include the Global Goals Compass, a tool that provides guidance on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and ReGen.rocks, an interactive social learning platform designed to educate young people on sustainability, connect them in a social network and match them with regenerative projects. Additionally, we connect researchers in the field of sustainable development, create innovative e-learning programs, and support companies and organizations in effectively implementing sustainability and regeneration strategies. OvidiuRO's mission is to ensure that quality early education is accessible and effective for all disadvantaged children across Romania. We achieve this by focusing on teacher training, providing enriching educational materials, and educating parents.

Leveraging technology to end social injustices

Humans in the Loop is a hybrid between a non-profit foundation and a for-profit social enterprise which has been working for the past 6 years towards the inclusion of refugees and conflict-affected people in the AI supply chain, as well as in the digital work field, through upskilling and paid remote work opportunities. Our shared mission is to provide a diverse group of conflict-affected and displaced people with access to career development support, upskilling, and remote work opportunities to train and monitor AI systems. We are active across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa, and our work related opportunities are primarily focused on communities affected by armed conflict and are distributed with priority to countries where other remote online job opportunities are unavailable as for example Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon. In our additional partner countries Turkey, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Moldova, and the DRC, with upcoming pilots in Kenya and Uganda, we concentrate on upskilling opportunities, equipping people with freelance related skills and then further supporting them in applying for remote work on platforms such as UpWork through our Mictrofreelancing self-paced course. Our foundation has its own training platform where we conduct trainings in English, Digital Skills, as well as data annotation skills and remote work, and everything is available online. We have developed our own proprietary modules on topics such as bias in AI and ethical AI, Cybersecurity when working online, and data annotation techniques, as well as professional courses which are either instructor-led or self-paced on topics such as Digital Marketing, Intro to Programming, Intro to Graphic Design, or Intro to Business Analytics. To date, more than 500 individuals have completed courses on our platform. Now, we want to develop our course offerings further by developing new courses on generative AI skills and real-time monitoring of AI systems, performing red team testing on AI systems, and providing feedback for reinforcement learning. Many of our trainees are already working for our social enterprise as data annotators, working on projects related to image labelling, data collection, and real-time monitoring and edge case handling of AI systems. To date, we have provided paid remote employment to more than 1,100 people. Our goal is to ensure that they progress further in their careers in the AI field and to provide them with opportunities to access further employment on freelancing platforms, or with other employers. We have partnered before with Upwork's "Opportunity Unlimited" program in order to introduce them to online freelancing, and we also have a small-scale career counselling program. Now, our goal is to expand these career development programs in order to help our graduates join the workforce of the future and contribute to making AI systems more inclusive and mitigate harmful biases.

he World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) is an international non-governmental organisation representing and promoting approximately 70 million deaf people's human rights worldwide. The WFD is a federation of deaf organisations from 134 nations; its mission is to promote the human rights of deaf people and full, quality and equal access to all spheres of life, including self-determination, sign language, education, employment and community life. WFD has a consultative status in the United Nations and is a founding member of International Disability Alliance (IDA). At its recent World Congress in Jeju, South Korea, WFD members (136) approved the WFD strategic direction 2023-2030 and Action Plan 2023-2027. Important themes are covered in these 2 documents which strive to ensure that we create access for all deaf people to all ways of life in "a world where deaf people everywhere can sign anywhere" (vision). Furthermore, our mission is to work towards the full realisation of linguistic rights and human rights in all areas of life, with full recognition and implementation of these rights across local, national and international levels. To realise our mission and vision, the following are part of our Action Plan 2023-2027: Building Capacity across the Globe: ensuring increased participation of women, youth and underrepresented communities; provide effective capacity building projects to countries who are not yet members to assist them with creating their own national deaf associations so that they can represent themselves in their countries; Putting Deaf people on the Agenda: the WFD will continue to strive to put deaf human rights at the forefront of all representation internationally, including at the UN; we will effectively promote International Week of Deaf people and be ready to response to deaf people's needs in times of crises, disasters and war. Realising nothing about us without us: the WFD continues to be the leading authority for deaf people and sign languages and has committed to developing resources to assist deaf people raise awareness in their countries. Achieving Sign Language Rights for all: National sign languages are fundamental to achieving deaf people's human rights. We will aim to assist our member states in promoting the legal recognition of signed language in the country and advocate for early childhood language acquisition and inclusive multilingual education policies. Investing in a strong and sustainable organisation: to carry out our mission and vision we need greater investment in our secretariat and regional secretariat, expand our donor base, increase visibility and fundraising activities so that our organisation can carry on its important global work.

NRC's vision is a world where rights are respected, and people are protected. We work in new and protracted crises across 40 countries to ensure that those forced to flee are safer and can exercise their rights, quickly access the services needed to regain control of their lives and are able to become self-reliant and find solutions. Our focus is on populations and people affected by displacement, including IDPs, refugees, returnees, and host communities supporting displaced people. In Moldova, NRC's mission is to support displaced and displacement-affected people to achieve self-reliance on the pathway to obtaining durable solutions. We undertake this through five core thematic areas - Livelihoods, Education, Legal protection (Information, Counseling, and Legal Assistance), Shelter, and WASH. Protection is mainstreamed across our response. With displacement becoming protracted, NRC is committed to longer-term response solutions to support displaced people to obtain self-reliance and experience greater inclusion in existing systems, while retaining tightly focused humanitarian assistance for those with enduring basic needs. A partnerships approach in collaboration with local actors is a defining characteristic of our mission.

Every day, lives are changed by a single, selfless act - the gift of organ donation. Among those waiting for transplants are 2 groups of people: those who die waiting and those who receive the gift of life. Our work raises awareness of the urgent need for organ and tissue donors while helping recipients who have overcome the impossible to live life to the fullest. These individuals have faced life's greatest challenges; they are advocates for the cause but need resources, education and community. Transplant recipients have a unique opportunity to advocate for organ donation and raise awareness. Physical activity plays a crucial role in the recovery and long-term health of recipients. When recipients compete in world events, they demonstrate to the world what can be achieved through the gift of organ donation. Additionally, our programs provide recipients with community, tools, and resources to address the many challenges they face, leading to an increased quality of life. The WTGF promotes amateur sport amongst recipients, living donors and donor families; promoting the study of transplantation; educating the public and raising awareness of the world shortage of donor organs; sharing new knowledge from biological/clinical studies; promotion of mental and moral improvement for recipients, living donors and donor families; fostering international friendship and relations.
