Working with local grassroots charities and NGOs in 13 countries across the globe, the Global Vision International (GVI) Charitable Trust manages and raises funds for numerous long-term programs. These funds are used to support our local partners with the aims of alleviating poverty, illiteracy, environmental degradation and climate change. We do this through education, nutrition, conservation and capacity building. Our work focuses upon 3 key objectives: awareness, impact and empowerment. The aim is to create awareness of global issues, have a direct impact on those issues locally and empower our alumni, be they volunteers, donors, staff or community members, to continue impacting local issues on a global level.

The Felix Project is a food redistribution charity with a dual purpose that rescues surplus food from the UK food industry to help feed vulnerable Londoners. We rescue surplus food from nearly 500 suppliers such as wholesalers, supermarkets, farms, shops, restaurants, and hotels. Our team is assisted by an army of volunteers who sort, pack and transport this food for free to more than 1,000 community organisations, primary schools and children's holiday programmes across London. Our programmes focus on sustainability and empowerment of local communities. AIMS The main aims of the organisation are: To make a serious and sustainable impact upon impoverished communities by tackling both the causes and effects of poverty To assist street children and young people from less fortunate families in their personal development To work in partnership with local schools, communities and organisations to facilitate social change To assist with the advancement of education in Nepal, formal and informal for street children. To foster an open and inclusive environment for the sharing and development of skills and ideas OBJECTIVES We achieve our aims by: Training local teachers to benefit a maximum amount of children Establishing a children's home for street children to provide them with shelter, education, care and skills to build a happy future Sending qualified teachers to Nepal to transfer their knowledge and skills to the local teachers Establishing links between UK and Nepalese schools to facilitate cultural exchange and assist the most impoverished schools in Nepal We achieve our objectives through inclusive and innovative overseas projects, targeting communities that receive little or no help from other sources, governmental or otherwise.

The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) is an adaptable and flexible, non-bureaucratic organisation responding promptly to conservation threats by supporting trusted, reputable individuals and organisations operating in the field. Lean on administration but generous on funding, the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation supports a range of innovative, vital and far-reaching projects throughout Africa and Asia, achieving real results for wildlife survival by: - sending undercover agents into the field to investigate illegal wildlife crime, training and supplying anti-poaching patrols - establishing nature reserves and other protected areas - working with governments to establish conservation laws and regulations - educating wildlife consumers about the plight of the animals they 'use' - teaching young people about endangered wildlife through art and school projects

The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) is dedicated to providing support to people affected by retinoblastoma (Rb). We work closely with the retinoblastoma teams at the Royal London Hospital and Birmingham Children's Hospital - the two UK centres of excellence where Rb is diagnosed and treated. Rb is rare and little known about within the wider public so we aim to provide accurate, up to date information and one-to-one support from the point of diagnosis and beyond, aiming to minimise the negative impact of the condition on the whole family. Early diagnosis is vital to ensure the best chances of preserving a child's vision and their life. We believe everyone should know that children can get cancer in their eyes and what the signs are, so we work hard to raise awareness of Rb. We target health professionals with information about this rare cancer, which can help them to make an early referral. The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust also raises funds to support and fund clinical and scientific research projects specifically related to retinoblastoma.

Fountain of Life is dedicated to bringing an affordable, sustainable source of safely managed water to those in need. While many NGOs overlook the family unit to focus on constructing community wells, the primary focus of our work is centred on offering individuals and/or families the ability to own their own borehole, which creates not only dignity but long-term sustainability and self-sufficiency. Our on-plot pumps provide readily accessible water for drinking, cooking, washing, cleaning, etc. and it means no longer having to rely on contaminated open community wells which are often located far from the home.

The Butterfly Tree's aim is to improve the lives of vulnerable people living in remote villages in Zambia. To advance the education and improve the facilities in rural schools, giving every child a chance to be educated. To protect the health of patients by developing the rural clinics offering support sevices, medical supplies and equipment. To relieve poverty and improve the living conditions of socially disadvantaged communities teaching them how to become sustainable.

African Promise is dedicated to improving the quality and provision of primary education in rural Kenya by ensuring that schools are equipped to deliver a primary education that is worth having
