Minor-Ndako vzw

Minor-Ndako is a non-profit organization within the Flemish youth-care system. Our organization was born out of a need for specialized, individual care for unaccompanied minor refugees. Minor-Ndako wanted to provide a different kind of shelter for the most vulnerable (the youngest, those in need of psychological and medical care, victims of human trafficking,) under them. In 2002 Minor-Ndako started with 10 kids in one group, since than our organization has grown rapidly. We have extended our care to families and children from Brussels and Flanders who are in a problematic situation at home. Today we are a mid sized organization with 56 places for unaccompanied minor refugees (both residential places as well as assistance for young people who move out on their own) and 44 places for Flemish children and their families. And we continue to grow, in the near future we will open new . But we want to do more than provide care and residence, we have several additional projects that reinforce our primary task. Amongst these project are our own running and football club.

2 Objective of H.B.K association "HELP BURNS KIDS 'association wants children with burns financial support. This we will not do that. Because we have good contacts with the Belgian Foundation for Burns and Burns various centers we wish to maintain a good cooperation with them. This is because we, despite our efforts, do not have the know-how to distribute our collected money to what are the most pressing needs at that time. Therefore, we will increasingly are demanding to receive a request for support from the Belgian Burn Foundation. This financial aid to burn patients is granted within the Burns Foundation by a committee of social workers, nurses and independent specialists from all Belgian burn centers scrutinize each application and continue to monitor the financial assistance in the care process. On its own initiative the association will take well-founded initiatives to stimulate children with burns in their long struggle rehabilitation. "Burns Help Kids" association will continue to grant aid internally considering. Here are some ways to achieve our goals. Costs for additional medication and bandages (D therapy) Costs for psychological support (no intervention) Costs for increasing co-payments related to physiotherapy. Costs for reimbursement of additional pressure suits and or orthopedic devices. Costs for specific scar care (make-up, tattoos, cures, LPG (Louis Paul Guitay) computer-controlled suction and roller massage, ... ..) Costs for toys on the burns services Cost of delegation of personnel for lectures on prevention in schools and disclosure in the relevant schools in specific patients (children) Costs for rooming-in of the parents (not always reimbursed by the hospital) Costs for transport by ambulance or helicopter. Cost of homemaker. Because of the additional concerns that must be given to the child is left less time for household chores. Opkrikkende support to children with burns in their struggle for healing in various burn centers in Belgium. Costs for UV-resistant swimsuits Support various initiatives for children with burns as treatment camps and other camps that healing and integration can work hand in society. Prevention to prevent burns. Organization of full school day in primary school and pre-school children. Organization prevention classes for the purposes of BRAVO (Burns Appearance) for both schools and other organizations. We wish to be a point of contact for children with burns. Organisation of the annual meeting for families with burn patients. "Burns Help Kids" will sensitize people to the needs of these children and do the funds seek to raise.

AKSI

AKSI works with disadvantaged people. These people have physical or mental problems, addictions, etc.. but they all have one thing in common: they've been unemployed for ages because no one wants to hire them. AKSI gives these people a job in a social economic restaurant or in a chores group. This last groups offers to do chores for poor and elderly families in the community of Wellen. Due to these activities, AKSI realizes his mission: giving sustainable jobs and employment to those who have a disadvantage. In total, AKSI is the employer of 30 persons, but wants to grow. To achieve the objective of giving sustainable jobs and employment to disadvantaged people, AKSI realizes the following provisions, which also contribute to the organization's social purpose: 1) To provide work opportunities and equal chances for the employees within the company (battling long-term unemployment). 2) To create sustainable jobs, fair working conditions, job content and industrial relations. through participation of the employees, we strive for an optimal individual and collective development. 3) In a balanced manner meeting the respective interests of the stakeholders. 4) To give priority to activities, products and production methods that respect the environment in short and long term conditions. 5) simultaneously striving for gains in economic and social terms. Besides realizing employment, AKSI also gives lessons and guidance to their employees to improve their work skills and attitudes.

YAR Vlaanderen makes a difference in the life of young people between 15 and 21 years old who are struggling in different areas of life. We offer these young people an opportunity to get their lives back on track. Two programs are at the heart of our work: 'YAR Coaching' and 'YAR Housing'. These programs allow young people to experience that they themselves are responsible for their choices. And that making conscious choices is the first step to take their life or housing situation in their own hands. Our participants get a reboot in life, believing that they have a new chance at making something of themselves, no matter their past or circumstances. Personal development, in a sense of taking full ownership of their lives and more particularly their future, is the first foundational pillar of our work. Strengthening the social network is the second pillar of our programs. Creating a network around our young people is crucial in the personal development work we do. In collaboration with professional employees, both programs are made possible by an extensive network of volunteer coaches, partner organizations, companies, socio-cultural organizations and local authorities. Working with volunteers is a fundamental choice and an important element within our community-based work. Working with volunteers is crucial to the success of young people within the programs of YAR Vlaanderen. Young people, often with a long-standing history in youth care, thrive on the fact that their coaches are willing to invest a lot of time and energy into them, without being remunerated. It enhances their trust in our organization, in adults and subsequently, in society at large. YAR Vlaanderen always thinks one step ahead and continually strives for improvement and self-development. We are relentless in our strive to help our youngsters have a genuine fresh start in life as responsible, reasonable, self-reliant and confident young adults.

With our work, we provide fertile ground for the leaders of tomorrow to grow and learn: Our philosophy is that to support individuals in becoming sustainability leaders, education has to focus on fostering students to have "...an enhanced understanding of themselves, their abilities and desires, as well as a more profound understanding of their fellow humans and the world they inhabit. For over 30 years we have been continuously innovating with formats that provide platforms for learning, creating and sharing solutions: social labs, conferences, webinars, workshops, simulation games, learning journeys are just some examples. At oikos, we have been coming together as a global community of student change agents for over 30 years. Spread in over 20 countries and 50 cities worldwide, we organize on campus to raise awareness for sustainability and transform our own education.

The motto of Sailabilty Vlaanderen vzw (Sailability) is "Iedereen moet kunnen zeilen"(Everybody should be able to sail) INTRODUCTION In simple terms the objectives of Sailability are to promote the benefits of sailing to people with mental and physical handicaps. This extends to everyone regardless of age, class, gender, ethnicity and physical status including the disadvantaged and those who cannot contribute financially. These latter we will support and will not allow to be excluded on financial grounds. We also welcome able bodied members (usually family members) to encourage and reinforce the integration of disabled people into mainstream activities and society. LOCATIONS We intend to ensure this activity is available in at least one location in each of the five Provinces of Flanders by 2020 and that there are at least 100 active disabled sailors across the Region. Sailability is located at Mol in Antwerp. Disabled sailing in three other locations (Brugges - West Flanders, Vilvoorde - Flemish Brabant, and Gent - East Flanders) will operate in co-operation with regular sailing clubs based at those locations. ROLE OF SAILABILITY IN NEW LOCATIONS Sailability reviews the suitability of the locations and advises on adaptions that might be necessary to ensure accessibility and safety. It will also loan boats and equipment (lifts/trailers) as required. In addition experienced members will train and assist the host clubs. FLEET Our fleet will be 10 boats by March 2016. We expect to be sourcing at least one to two boats each year to support increases in our activities. If resources permit, additional books will be acquired. We will continue to identify and acquire boats that are adapted for disabled people being very stable and unsinkable. ACTIVITIES To date our activities have focused on recreational sailing and to a much lesser degree on competition sailing. Recreational: The recreational sailing will grow mainly at the new locations we have identified and others we are looking into. Competition: More effort will be put into participating in national and international competitions. We will also be expanding National contests based on our work running the Flanders' Sailability Cup contests in 2014 and 2015. In these years we have welcomed participants from France, Switzerland, Australia and the Netherlands. We have also taken part in competitions in France and the UK. Rehabilitation: Further into our 2020 Strategic Vision Plan we will start with rehabilitation sailing activities together with Rehabilitation organisations and institutions. Introduction to Sailing: We will continue to offer initiation/introductory sessions to other organisations which support or look after disabled people TRAINING: We will continue to train the sailing monitors and volunteers; we are also going to start a training program to encourage as many G-sailors as possible to have the confidence and ability to sail independently. SHARING ASSETS: We will continue to work with other organisations which encourage disabled people to engage in sports and activities; we will allow them to use our boats to maximize their utilization. GOVERNANCE: Sailability will continue to be managed by a Board of Directors which meets about once a month. It consists of a: - - Chairman, - Vice-Chairman, - Sailing Manager, - Secretary, - Treasurer, Communications and Public Relations Officer, - Competitions Officer. Other members managing special projects attend board meetings as appropriate. A Strategic plan was drawn up for the period 2015-2020.

International National Trusts Organisation (INTO)

INTO brings people together to exchange information, develop and promote best practice, and to help its members achieve beneficial change. Our mission is to 'promote the conservation and enhancement of the heritage of all nations for the benefit of the people of the world and future generations'. With INTO's global scope and focus on our common heritage, built, natural and cultural, there's no other organisation quite like it. All INTO members are not-for-profit, most are completely independent charities, others have a closer relationship with their governments. Virtually all are tiny and a few are more substantial in size - but all are equally dedicated, equally passionate. From a group of twelve founding members representing some of the leading conservation, environmental and heritage bodies across the globe, including representatives from India, UK, USA, Ireland and Australia, we've just reached a total of 65 subscribing organisations worldwide, which we're excited about. But INTO is run on a shoestring and our ambitions outstrip our resources. It's just the same with the important projects which member organisations are desperate to undertake, big on ambition and hope but with tiny or non-existent means to get the job done. Whether it's the National Trust of Fiji rebuilding communities after Tropical Storm Winston, our Indonesian partners offering post-earthquake heritage first aid or now our Caribbean members in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, INTO members often have to help people rebuild their lives. And important social projects like raising awareness of the Slave Trade in Sierra Leone, telling the story of Nelson Island, Trinidad and Tobago's "Ellis Island" and producing a map of historic buildings in Kampala couldn't have happened without INTO's support. Every day we hear of work which Trusts want to undertake, but which they are having to embark upon with only the barest of resources and an abundance of optimism! Our crowdfunding goal is to help make these projects happen. And through conserving, re-using and enjoying our global built and natural environment, make a real difference to communities all around the world.
