Through this experience: Elderly residents in care feel a renewed sense of community and self-worth. Teen volunteers gain essential leadership skills demonstrating empathy and compassion through our intergenerational programming.

Promises2Kids’ mission is to create a brighter future for foster children. From the moment they come into foster care and through to adulthood, Promises2Kids provides the hope, support, and opportunities these individuals need to change their lives for the better - now and for years to come.

Common Threads is a national nonprofit that teaches children and families cooking and nutrition skills to promote healthier eating and lifelong wellness. It focuses on reaching under-resourced communities with affordable, culturally-relevant nutrition education and hands-on cooking programs.

StreetCode’s mission is to invigorate innovation within our communities. We provide historically economically disadvantaged people of color in our community with the high-tech skills, confidence, and access to networks needed to enter the technology industry. We offer free courses in coding, entrepreneurship, and design. StreetCode engages communities seeking justice, innovation, and tech-driven economic opportunities. Through building mindset, skills and networks, we equip individuals and families with resources they seek to expand their life options. Through tech education, we empower communities of color to use their authentic voices and diverse perspectives to realize self-determination. The Humane Society Of Rochester And Monroe County for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Inc. was founded in 1873. Since the 1950's the Society has been known as Lollypop Farm, its name coming from the then popular Shirley Temple song - On the Good Ship Lollipop. Our mission is to build lifelong bonds between people and animals through education, community outreach programs, and the prevention of cruelty.  We envision a time when our community celebrates the human-animal bond; embraces the mutual benefits therein; and treats all fellow beings with care, compassion and respect.

The NYC LGBT Community Center (The Center) was established in 1983 at the height of the AIDS crisis to provide a safe and affirming place for LGBTQ+ New Yorkers to respond to the urgent threats facing the community. We are today—as we were then—a place of safety, connection, activism, and joy. Today, we have over 300,000 annual visitors; 400 community groups call our space home; and we offer a host of direct services to those seeking accessible, affordable and affirming support. For over 40 years, The Center has grown to meet the changing needs of New York’s LGBTQ+ community, delivering services that empower people to lead healthy, successful lives. Operating in-person and virtually, we provide recovery and wellness programs, economic advancement initiatives, family and youth support, advocacy, arts and cultural programming, and space for community organizing, connection, and celebration.

We equip teen girls with community tools and resources to activate their personal power and world impact through peer leadership, life skills education, mentoring, and youth advocacy.

The Council for Economic Education (CEE) is the leading organization in the United States that focuses on the economic and financial education of students from kindergarten through high school. For the past 60 years, of our mission has been to instill in young people the fourth “R”—a real-world understanding of economics and personal finance. We carry out our mission by providing professional development to teachers, teaching resources across the curriculum and nationally-normed assessment tools. We deliver our programs through in-person local workshops, partner organizations and online. It is only by acquiring economic and financial literacy that children can learn that there are better options for a life well lived, will be able to see opportunity on their horizon line and, ultimately, can grow into successful and productive adults capable of making informed and responsible decisions.

The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation keeps music alive in our schools by donating musical instruments to under-funded music programs, and vital support services to school districts nationwide, giving economically-disadvantaged youth access to the many benefits of music education, leading them to success in school, and inspiring creativity and expression through playing music.

Friends of Amani US is committed to supporting Amani Children’s Home in Tanzania,East Africa and their mission to reduce the number of children living on the streets by providing a nurturing place for homeless children to heal, grow and learn, as well as making every attempt at reuniting them with relatives when possible and helping those reunified families to be successful.
