Ele's Place is a non-profit community-based organization dedicated to creating awareness of and support for grieving children and their families. Before coming to Ele's Place, many of these children feel alone and keep their feelings inside, not wanting to burden their parents or other family members. Even school friends don't seem to understand if they haven't had a similar experience. But each week at Ele's Place, approximately 200 grieving children find a warm and welcoming place to meet new friends who really understand how they feel. Together, they learn how to cope and they begin to heal.

To prevent and end family homelessness by providing access to housing and resources that create lasting stability. What started out in 1984 as a humble effort to house families experiencing homelessness in two farmhouses and five rented apartments, has since grown into one of Orange County’s most impactful nonprofits. Tackling the pervasive issue of homelessness for families with children, last year Families Forward improved the lives of more than 13,000 people. From providing food assistance, career coaching, mental health counseling, to financial literacy education, we’re as committed to strengthening overall wellbeing as we are to ensuring everyone has a place to call home.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Miami Valley's mission is to ignite the power and promise of youth by making meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers and youth, ages 6 through 18. Vision statement: Rocky Mountain Youth Corps will be the leader in NW Colorado to provide diverse opportunities for young people to participate in outdoor based service and education for their growth, respect and responsibility to self, community and environment. We will do this through strong sustainable partnerships with project and funding sponsors and the creation of a youth development center.

P.A.L.S. for Healing is a nonprofit mental health organization dedicated to providing education, art therapy, EMDR and other trauma informed therapies to help people who have suffered trauma and/or loss. Individuals can experience trauma from direct and indirect exposure to an event(s) that leaves them feeling helpless, terror and unsafe. Some of these experiences can include divorce, having an incarcerated parent, being in the foster care system, serving in the military, having a family member in the military, responding to crisis situations, domestic violence, bullying, the death of a loved one and natural disasters. P.A.L.S. for Healing has three locations within Cuyahoga county and provides offsite group and individual services within Cuyahoga, lake and summit counties. We also provide professional workshops and trainings for individuals and organizations.
