STUDENTS COME FROM MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLS IN CHALLENGING NEIGHBORHOODS, WITH THE LOWEST ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS, THE HIGHEST POVERTY RATES, AND THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF SINGLE PARENT HOUSEHOLDS.

Saddle Up Riding Club's mission is o improve the lives of able and disabled children, adults and veterans through equine assisted activities and direct interaction with horses.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for adults and children with intellectual disabilities. By receiving continuous opportunities to develop physical fitness, the athletes are able to prepare for entry into school and community programs, express courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and their communities.

The Quantum dojo is a not-for-profit community studio teaching martial arts focused on healing the body, strengthening the mind, and grounding the spirit. Our goal is to help people of tap into their potential, seeking balance and grace through movement, while establishing a strong foundation of integrity and self-discipline that will facilitate both personal and professional success.

The Huntington Beach Sailing Foundation was established to promote the sport of sailing among youths. By doing so, the Sailing Foundation seeks to create an interest in, and develop youth enthusiasts of, local, national and international amateur sailing, competition, maritime education and stewardship of the environment. To achieve this goal, the foundation provides instructors, sailing equipment and facilities, and trained instruction to encourage youth participation in such maritime activities. Its activities are focused in and around Huntington Beach and its surrounding areas of southern California. The foundation reaches out to all youths in the area, including underprivileged, economically disadvantaged, and physically challenged youths, who would not normally have access to the sailing experience. Through its summer sailing program, the Sailing Foundation seeks to develop the skills of individuals to sail; to foster confidence and self-reliance in a way that enhances self-esteem and mental, spiritual and emotional development; to promote competition in a manner that encourages teamwork, leadership, good sportsmanship and honor; and to provide a structured environment and fun summer activity for children as they grow and develop into young adults. Sailing provides children (and adults) a unique sense of independence and freedom, while requiring responsibility, safety, teamwork and respect for the environment. A day on the water can create memories that last a lifetime. A summer on the water can build self-esteem, self-reliance and lifetime friendships.

THE PURPOSE OF THE GOLDEN HIGH SCHOOL BOOSTER CLUB IS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT FOR THE ATHLETIC, ACADEMIC, AND PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GOLDEN HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM BY VOLUNTEERING TIME, CONTRIBUTING FINANCIAL BACKING, AND FUNDRAISING FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE TEAM. THIS NON-PROFIT IS ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THOSE EDUCATIONAL, LITERARY, SCIENTIFIC AND CHARITABLE PURPOSES PERMISSIBLE UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE, AS DESIGNATED IN THE ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION.

The Petaluma Small Craft Center leads the community in bringing people and boats together on the Petaluma River. PSCC is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization committed to river access for all in people-powered small boats. We do this through on-the-water programs like Day on The River and multiple summer camps, and through the development of two facilities: the Floathouse rental center and a community boathouse.
