The mission of DC SCORES is to build teams for low-income DC youth by instilling self-expression, physical fitness, and a sense of community. DC SCORES accomplishes its mission through a holistic model which engages the whole child through soccer, poetry, and service-learning, and creates supportive teams rooted in local school communities.
OWLS seeks to create opportunity for Chicago’s most at-risk youth through scholarship, service, and the sport of lacrosse. Using inner-city schools and community centers as our access point, we provide developmentally positive options for students through: -Academic enrichment -Service-learning projects -Lacrosse programming We address our participant’s unique circumstances and individual short-term needs within a structured team environment and provide the long-term resources needed for their continued transition to a healthy quality of life.

The mission of Friends of Eagle Island, Inc., is to perpetuate this legacy by providing an environmentally responsible Adirondack island camping experience for diverse youth, with an emphasis on girls and young women, while preserving Eagle Island’s natural and historic character.

The 100 Mile Club is a nationally recognized and easy to implement school-based fitness program that challenges kids to run (or walk) 100 miles during a school year. The program also teaches kids life skills, goal setting, and self-esteem while making physical activity a healthier habit for life.
