One Foundation

The One Foundation was first founded by Jet Li in in April 2007, and was registered on December 3, 2010, as an independent public fundraising foundation in China. With the 2010 registration in Shenzhen, One Foundation became authorized to act as a fully independent charity. The founding organizations were the Shanghai Jet Li One Foundation, Lao Niu Foundation, Tencent Foundation, Vantone Foundation and Vanke Foundation. Each founding organization donated 10 million RMB for a total of 50 million RMB start-up. As of April 2013, the board of directors consisted of 11 members, in alphabetical order: Feng Lun, Jet Li (Chinese: ), Liu Chuanzhi (Chinese: ), Pony Ma (Chinese: ), Ma Weihua (Chinese: ), Jack Ma (Chinese: ), Niu Gensheng (Chinese: ), Wang Shi (Chinese: ), Yang Peng (Chinese: ), Zhou Qiren (Chinese: ) and Amy Zhou (Chinese: ). One Foundation strives to provide a professional and transparent public service platform according to the vision of "It Starts with every One" . Our Mission is to promote philanthropic culture, to provide humanitarian aid in natural disasters, and to build philanthropic platform by which everyone can join us in the philanthropic causes in every possible way. One Foundation's strategy is for this one platform to focus on three areas, including disaster relief, children's welfare and philanthropy development.

We are passionate about helping all young people achieve their full potential by delivering high quality physical education (PE) and sport opportunities. Through 20 years of experience, we have developed a unique way of maximising the power of sport to grow young people, schools and communities. We believe in the power of sport to change young people's lives for the better. Our programmes focus on using sport as a vehicle to improve young people's: Wellbeing: Our work develops children's fundamental movement skills, equipping them with the confidence, competence and enjoyment of sport needed for a lifetime of activity, as well as good physical and emotional health. Leadership: Our work supports the personal development of young people and their progress at school, as well as preparing them for the challenges of life ahead. We support young people to develop a range of positive character qualities, such as: creativity, aspiration, resilience and empathy. Achievement: PE and sport delivered well is proven to impact positively on attainment and academic achievement. It can engage young people in learning and support the development of skills needed for success in the classroom, including: communication, teamwork and self-management.
