We are a mission –driven organization, sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters-whose sole focus is to care for the aged and the infirm with love, compassion and joy. The purpose of Meals on Wheels is to provide nutritious hot and cold meals and a personal contact to the homebound, frail, ill or disabledwho are unable to shop or cook for themselves. We as an organization do not discriminate and serve those in our community regardless of income, race or religion.

The Joy Bus is a nonprofit organization whose sole purpose is to relieve the daily struggles of homebound cancer patients with a fresh and healthy meal delivered by a friendly face. Our mission is to improve the lives of our clients through good food and company.

By providing hope and positive vision, Optimists bring out the best in youth, our communities and each other. In Golden, Colorado, we carry out this mission by supporting community causes and organizations. We also organize our own initiatives, including a school supply drive for Golden elementary and middle schools; forensics club support and an oratorical contest for Golden high school students. Our largest program is our community bicycle shop and Bicycle Recycle Program.
