These services significantly improve the quality of life and health of the individuals they serve and prevent or postpone early institutionalization. Meals are prepared responsive to most individual health related dietary requirements. The daily delivery by staff or volunteers provides direct contact which is just as important as the meals that are delivered as it reduces a sense of isolation and supports a sense of security and well-being.
