To improve the world through education, action, and loving kindness; to help realize a moral, G‑dly world in which honesty, integrity, a sense of meaning and purpose, respect, responsibility for one another, knowledge, security, and peace prevail. We recognize the innate goodness in humankind and seek to inspire and empower all people to maximize their potential on life's journey - with joy, passion, and enthusiasm. To accomplish that, we work with all denominations, cultures, and faiths and reach out to help rather than wait to be called upon.

Temple Beth El is a lively and active Reform Congregation of approximately 350 households serving the entire Northern Valley of New Jersey and beyond. We are a warm and inviting Jewish gathering place for congregants of all ages - from the youngest nursery school children and their families, to the elders who founded our congregation in the early 1950's, and everyone in-between. At Beth El, we embrace each individual as they travel on the Jewish journey. We balance the richness of Jewish tradition with an appreciation of the gifts of modernity. We welcome Jews of all backgrounds, encouraging all to learn, discover, and explore new areas of Jewish living as they deepen their relationship with God and the Jewish people. We believe that every Jew has something to offer to the community, and the temple has something to offer to every Jew. We encourage young families to lay the foundation for a Jewish life by reconnecting or deepening their Jewish identity through early temple affiliation. We encourage those with school age children to learn along with their children and be models of active Jewish living. We rely on our established members to provide vision and leadership while strengthening their Judaism with ongoing learning and worship. Our doors are open to all, and dues adjustments are made confidentially based on financial abilities.
